Some seem to say (Car and Driver, for one) that the ZF 8HP automatic is probably the best car transmission ever made, so far. You can find it everywhere, from the new Supra, to the Jeep Gladiator, to Aston Martins (and everything in between).

   Is the best automatic ever made for sure. Which puts it one spot below the worst manual transmission ever made in the all time good transmissions list.

   It’s fun to see the manual purist bitching because the 8HP was the transmission that made people realize manuals are not the best any more
