It’s the stupid locals blocking it. Every new project in America has locals trying to stop it.

Apartment buildings, new homes, renewable energy, everything.

We can’t get anything done due to local municipalities

  2. No we don’t want any jobs helping out our local economy

Didn’t this happen a while ago?

Edit: Yes. Article is almost a month old. I thought I’d read something about it already.

The locals are afraid that the Chinese government is investing billions of dollars of communist capital spending in their community to spy on them and hide ballistic missiles in the factory. Precious bodily fluids!

The comments in this sub are giving all EV owners a bad name. You people should educate yourself on the local conditions before you sound off like a bunch of clueless fools.

Different situation, but we have a big cobalt operation trying to go in in our local area and Heck yeah we’re trying to block it, not good for the environment we don’t want that here. Before you hate on the locals maybe they have a good reason for trying to block it.

All the countries in the world hope that Chinese battery factories can go to their own countries to build factories, and the result is that the Americans make it into an investment scam.

Americans often say that China can come to the United States to build factories, and this is what happens when China invests millions of dollars in the United States.
