The US doesn’t offer any luxury-branded minivans (unless you count the Chrysler Pacifica), but other countries do. Pictured is the Lexus LM.

The LM would totally sell here but maybe the bean counters whose entire career on figuring that out know more than me.

i see a million mercedes sprinters vans as a mom hauler these days filling that void

  3. InactiveBeef

Ass ugly, thank god we don’t have to see these driving around in the US

  4. LoneCheerio

They just relabel them as SUVs. Things like the suburban, the grand wagoneer, expedition.

I don’t think there would be a big market for these. They are great in huge cities and to transport a bunch of people or stuff, but they are not made for your normal everyday highway cruising and pickup up your kids from school. Thats why they are usually Japan/Asia exclusive.

Sidenote: i don’t think its ugly overall, but the huge grill on Lexus cars is always a turn off. It would look much better when they would design a grill 1/3 of its current size and actually give it a normal front bumper.

This gen Lexus LM is quite funny to me, its short-lived because they rebadged it out of Toyota near the end of its lifecycle and they dont bother selling it on Japan

Isn’t this the foreign cousin of the Toyota Alphard?
Maybe branded Toyota in Japan and Lexus in other countries

  8. Wait ’till you see the second gen of this car, the facia is like a muffled/stuffed mouth

That is so goddamn ugly! Anyways, it’s the same as a sienna, so just get one of those fully loaded.

The Kia Carnival SX Prestige would like you to believe it is a luxury minivan. And if they release a Genesis version of it, then you would get the luxury brand cress, too.

People in the US who buy minivans wouldnt buy the Lexus LM. Its clearly not the type of minivan that fits the typical use for a minivan in the US lol.

Like seriously… the entire rear 2/3s of the vehicle is just 2 big ass recliners, and the partition between the drivers cab and rear 2/3s of the vehicle is a TV screen…

People in the US buy minivans for hauling kids around and the extra space. The Lexus LM is 100% not a vehicle you buy to do any of that in… shit, its not even a vehicle you buy to drive… its a vehicle you buy to be driven around in lol.

I image this only exists in other countries as a vehicle bought and used by luxury car services. Which the luxury SUV and sedan seem to own that market in the US.

  12. It’s like a transit van and a Lexus had a baby and they named it Mongo

Looks aside, the only real market for these in the US would be for taxi/limo companies, etc. Nobody is buying this to pick up their kids.

However, I’d love an EV van of this luxury level. Like a mobile apartment!

Top trims of the Sienna and Odyssey are pretty luxurious. The Odyssey in particular is barely a couple interior materials upgrades away from being an Acura

I wish they would bring back the full size vans. Would 100% buy a modern chevy astro van.

I had a Toyota Alphard as a ride from the Airport in Japan, and it was basically the nicest Uber I’ve ever taken. I understand why we don’t get them here, but they’re so nice.

This looks hideous, Lexus can do so much better. Looks like they took the front end of their current car and found the ugliest back end of a minivan (nissan quest) and merged it together gave them selves a few high 5s and called it a day.

  18. ATXKLIPHURD

The grill reminds me of Bubba in Forest Gump

It looks like a dishwasher with the Predator mouth
