First post here, looking to reduce compressor noise in trunk.

I guess I’ll introduce myself.

Been running a airlift 3p manifold, airtekk struts, and viair 444c compressors for a year and half on my daily gs450h.

I just finished my trunk with some bamboo hardwood, hard mounted the compressors to a shelf, and built a bracket and wall to mount my tank. The bamboo, wall, and shelf are all sound deadened.

The compressor noise doesn’t really bother me but I’m looking to improve my set up.

Before buying viair 310ss compressors I want to play around with the 444cs.

What isolator mounts did everyone go with?
I’ve seen a few below.

• Mobile air systems has a $15 kit that reuses the brackets and provides screws, washers, springs, and rubber mounts,

• Airmaxx has a kit for $40-$47 on eBay and Amazon with is replacement brackets plus the springs, screws, washers, rubber mounts

• And of course airlift has the 50714 kit for $85

Also thought about remote mounting the air intake filter, going with the 6 stage metal air intake filter, or remote mounting the metal air intake. Has anyone done this and noticed reduced noise?

  1. I’d go with the airlift one, my friend has one and it’s damn near silent. Works super good

  2. Some people put ac compressors on their engine instead, very quiet and runs all the time
