Immaculate interior, with no tears or fading and shows no signs of wear , with the exception of the drivers seat which does have a couple of tears, and the original headliner sags a bit.

I took the door off of my aunts ‘67 when I was 9. I asked if I could back the car up, and my uncle said yes. I wanted to look cool like the adults, so I left the door open while I backed up. Hit the gas real hard and the door hit an almond tree. To be fair, it really was my uncles fault for not teaching me what to do lol.

When I was a kid an old lady up the block had green one of these in her garage that had like 100 miles on it in the 80s. Another guy had a black and red fastback Mustang, similar mileage. Both kept up with and clean asf.

Love the bucket seats but overpriced for sure!

Do you have the documentation to back up the 39k original miles?

It’s daily driver quality, but it’s proved way high. Most likely $12-15k depending on the buyer.

2bbl 289 is the base engine. The A code 4bbl would be better. Non console, decor interior. Standard non XR7, looks like AM radio only, and manual drum brakes in a non AC car (original AC). Can’t see if it has power steering, but that wouldn’t affect value much.

It’s a nice car, but that kind of money can get a nice 390 car, or A code 4 speed car.

I’ve been around early Mercury Cougars a long time. They’re great cars, but not nearly as collectible or valuable as their cousins.

Edit- also looks like it’s been painted previously, with the right fender likely being replaced at one time. The fender bolts being painted over, along with the cinnamon frost color still visible behind the passengers headlight assembly lead me to believe that.

I think it’s gorgeous and fairly priced , don’t sell too low it’s worth $27K easily

Why does it have’68 scripts on the quarter panels? ‘67 had rectangular scripts.

I love these cars way more than a Mustang
