When I was a young airman in the early 90’s, I wanted one of these so badly. The guy at the car lot wouldn’t even let me sit in one. The bank wouldn’t hear of financing it either (because of age, not credit).
Last month, my wife and I pulled into a dealership, and the guy tossed me the key fob for a 300 horsepower EV and said have fun and let us know what you think. No paper work, no drivers license check, nothing.
I guess I look more respectable now. Looks can be deceiving…I’m still just a big kid! XD

My uncle briefly had a Corvette of this era. The only difference was it had side-exhaust pipes – holy shit could those things burn your legs getting out! Looked cool as hell, though 🙂
