I always wished it was RWD and had a stupid big engine up front

You mean the one time Mustang replacement?

Wasn’t really a Ford though, it was a rebadged Mazda G platform, ie the MX-6.

I remember my buddies and I drove past one on the highway around 2002 and the vanity plate was “HOT PROB”

I had bought a ’96 Probe SE after my ’93 Infiniti g20 spun a bearing, it was the slowest car I have ever been inside of, never was able to get passed 50 by the end of an on ramp onto the freeway. It also had an issue where when I would push the clutch in, it would shut off and not restart, I was able to get some hands-on repair experience with it trying to solve the clutch issue and also when I went over a speed bump and the spring on the shock snapped. I had installed a “custom” cai and was planning on doing more with it but the opportunity arose to get into a way newer car and I ended up buying a 2019 VW Jetta 1.4t and the difference between those two cars was night and day lol.

My buddy in hs had one of these in turquoise and got all the girls. We still talk about that fun lil car to this day

Wow you’re really hung up on the name. Did you have a bad colonoscopy or something? This was a sweet car in the 5 speed GT version which you didn’t even post. And of v you still couldn’t get past the name there was the mechanically identical MX-6 LS. How do you tell me you’re not an enthusiast? You judge the car primarily by its looks. How do you tell me you’re a straight moron? You judge the car primarily by its model name.
