The new Fiat 500 might be one of the most affordable electric cars you can buy, but it has a luxury with no other battery-powered model can match – choice. Perhaps too much choice.

What do we mean by too much choice? Well, there are two body styles to choose from and a big array of trim levels. Our chums over the channel also get a clever 3+1 variant which has an extra door on the passenger side. We don’t get that though as it would mean your kids would climb out into the traffic in the UK. Which is never a good idea.
