Find out how HYVIA's hydrogen fuel cell works | Renault Group

The fuel cell is used in hydrogen-powered electric vehicles. It allows an electrochemical reaction between the hydrogen in the tank and the oxygen in the ambient air, which produces an electric current, heat and water vapour. The electricity produced is stored in a battery which powers the electric motor propelling the vehicle. Only water vapour is emitted from the exhaust.
A joint venture between Renault Group and Plug, HYVIA offers turnkey mobility solutions with the production, storage and distribution of green hydrogen and a wide range of commercial vehicles.
