In December 2019, Toyota Motor Europe in collaboration with ISDI Accelerator launched the first-ever Toyota Startup Awards competition, targeting inclusive mobility startups – those empowering people with mobility limitations to move around freely, facilitating their daily life. The 5 winners won their place in the Toyota Startup Accelerator, a four-month business training led by ISDI Accelerator which helped them boost their businesses and explore potential future collaboration opportunities with Toyota Motor Europe. The program ended in December 2020 with the Demo Day where the 5 teams had the opportunity to pitch in front of more than 90 attendees, including Sir Philip Craven, Toyota Motor Europe’s key executives, private investors, ISDI representatives and honoured guest organisations.
