Keen to get to know the wealth of Porsche Taycan features? The Charging Planner is a must to get to know in detail, whether for your everyday driving or longer road trips. It assists you by automatically scheduling charging stops along your route, taking traffic, driving and charging times into consideration. In addition, battery preconditioning is performed to ensure optimal battery temperature for high-performance charging.
To activate:
Tap on ‘navigation’, then go to ‘options’ in the lower-right corner and select ‘Charge Planning’. Make sure that the Porsche Charging Planner is active. In this menu, you can find further important settings.
Top tips:
– Porsche Charging Stations can be prioritised by ticking the check box
– If you can charge at your destination, you can set the minimum charge manually low for your destination. This way you will benefit from reduced travel and charging times. This is automatically saved, so remember to adjust it for subsequent routes and destinations
– You can add charging stations as a stopover, or as a final destination. Just tap on the charging station symbol in the map, select it, and choose between ‘stopover’ or ‘replace destination’.
Calculating the route:
Input your route and then have a closer look at the route monitor. This displays all required charging spots and the corresponding charging times. The battery level is displayed in the remaining percentage next to your arrival time. For further information, just tap on the charging station symbol. If the Charging Planner is active, and a charging stopover is planned, battery preconditioning is performed automatically while driving; it heats up or cools down the battery for optimal battery temperatures to ensure high-performance charging when the time comes. The charging power of the selected stations and its charging duration are considered, meaning that stations with higher power can be selected as preferred, even if they are not directly on the route. Therefore, the overall journey time can be reduced further.
