2017 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid Review – Inside Lane



This is the new 2017 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid and it brings major improvements over its predecessor. An aerodynamic design reduces drag and roof pointed solar panels and increase range. Power comes from a 1.8 litre petrol and and an electric motor producing 120bhp. Range in pure EV more is at least 31 miles and charging time from a type 2 charger is 2 hours. Toyota claim 282 MPG and emissions of 22g/km CO2.

The Toyota Prius Plug-in can be charged from a household socket in just over 3 hours. This new car is design to run in electric mode for more time. A battery heater means that it can run efficiently in low temperatures.

An airy interior provides infotainment via an 8 inch touch screen. This Prius offers a 360 litre boot.

The 2017 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid costs from £32,395 with a £2,500 UK government grant. It goes on sale this March.
