Finally got my ’71 out of storage for the first time since 2020. The past few years I spent most of my car time working with my dad to finish up our ’67 Cougar resto-mod, so my Mach 1 sat under a cover on a trickle charger. We finally have the Cougar drive/show ready, so the Mach is finally free.
Unfortunately the battery died even on the charger( and let out some juice, which was quickly neutralized with baking soda). The fuel filter also decided to start leaking, but those were the only two issues to getting it back on the road. Put 100 miles on this weekend, remembering exactly why I love this car.
Got it all cleaned up last night. I may be biased, but I think Grabber Blue is the best color on the 71-73 Clydesdales. This one is factory Grabber Blue with a white interior. Rare combo, but awesome.
