Learn in this video how to setup the Driver Assistant System for your BMW and the BMW Operating System 8.
Drive comfortably, safely, and on top of the traffic situation – with the Driving Assistant Systems in your BMW with Operating System 8. Simply press the Driving Settings Button in the center console to enter the Driver Assistance menu. Here you can adjust all driver assistance systems depending on your vehicle equipment. On the left you can select different categories: “Safety and Warnings” to adjust the warning stages – like for “Lane Change warning”. Where applicable you can also activate or deactivate “Steering Wheel Intervention”. Select “Driving” to adjust all Driving Assistance Functions: “Speed Limit Assistant”, “Distance Control”, “Route and Junction Assistant” and “Assisted Driving”. In the top menu open “Feedback via steering wheel” to select the warning support by your BMW – with three intensity stages of steering wheel vibration and warning light elements. For quick access press and hold an item and click “Add to shortcuts” to set a shortcut in the iDrive Toolbelt. Want even more convenient interaction with your car? Use the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant to control Driver Assistance Settings with your voice by saying “Hey BMW. Turn Lane change warning on“.
