First RGNT electric motorcycle arrives in UK on a longboat after crossing North Sea from Scandinavia

Hanna Rosa finds some big burly Vikings to help her unload the first RGNT motorcycle to arrive in the UK – after crossing the North Sea in a longboat.

The Swedish brand’s first motorcycle is a 125cc equivalent, retro-styled, electric bike with a range of up to 90 miles. It can be ridden by 17 year-olds who hold a CBT and A1 type licence.

The bike – a No1 Classic SE – is equipped with with a Type 2 fast-charger and can be charged in three hours. It has a reverse gear and a 21kw hub-motor, with an additional 20kw of boost.

In a first-for-a-motorcycle, the throttle can be twisted forward to increase engine breaking and regen – RGNT call this ‘one throttle drive’.

With thanks to Alec at English Electric Motor Co and all the Vikings at Sheringham Viking Festival.
