BMW has amped up real-world testing of the next M5 super-sedan, with spy photographers catching a highly camouflaged prototype lapping the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
Codenamed G90, the 2025 BMW M5 is based on the recently unveiled 5 Series, and it will be the second plug-in hybrid M car after the slow-selling XM super SUV.
Speaking of the XM, the next M5 will use the same powertrain as the Label Red version of the SUV, which brings the total output to a staggering 738 HP (748 PS) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque.
