In 2022, Nasser Al-Attiyah, Mathieu Baumel and the tough, talented Toyota GR DKR Hilux T1+ made their sensational debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The driving crew in our versatile pick-up – Dakar Rally winner in 2022 and 2023 – became the first four-wheeled vehicle to tackle the asphalt hillclimb AND the forest rally stage AND the off-road course at Goodwood!
This year, the festival is honouring Nasser with the addition of a new jump feature in the off-road arena. Nasser and Mathieu helped design the leap which will add to the spectacular action when he takes to the course in his GR DKR Hilux T1+.
In this light-hearted film, produced by our friends at Goodwood, we discover how the inspiration for the new jump came from Nasser and Mathieu’s afternoon tea with the Duke of Richmond, who founded the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 1993.
