Childhood Cancer Awareness Month: Volkswagen Spreading Joy With NEGU – The Jessie Rees Foundation

After her cancer diagnosis in 2011, eleven-year-old Jessie Rees made it her mission to fight the disease with more than medicine. Having experienced the difficulties of cancer and extended hospital stays first-hand, Jessie understood the importance of spreading laughter, fun, and, most importantly, hope among kids battling childhood cancer. The result was Jessie’s creation and legacy: one-of-a-kind handmade care packages known as JoyJars. For Childhood Cancer Awareness month, VW is collaborating with NEGU — The Jessie Rees Foundation, U.S. Soccer and the U.S. Women’s National Team to help stuff JoyJars and deliver them to children battling cancer, spreading hope and joy among those who need it most – just like Jessie taught us.
