The American brand has confirmed that the Maverick range will expand into a franchise with multiple models using different powertrains. A Ford Maverick PHEV and a Ford Maverick Electric are expected to arrive in the future. The Ford Maverick Plug-in-hybrid will get a larger battery than the Maverick currently on sale, while the Maverick Electric will likely be an affordable alternative to the Ford F-150 Lightning.
