2024 Toyota Corolla Cross vs 2024 Subaru Crosstrek

– [Narrator] The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross versus the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek. Let’s learn a bit more about these compact crossover SUVs. Corolla Cross returns with enhanced style thanks to the addition of the Nightshade grade, which also gains the benefit of standard all-wheel drive. All Corolla Cross Hybrid electric vehicles offer an engaging drive

Thanks to their power and sport-tuned suspension. Every grade comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 for added safety on the road. Now let’s put Corolla Cross and Crosstrek side by side. Corolla Cross is available in seven grades, including the Nightshade, and four of which are hybrid-electric vehicles. Every gas grade is available with all-wheel drive, while all hybrid electric vehicles come with Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive as standard. For 2024, the Nightshade grade joins the lineup, which features black-trimmed seats

With red fabric and stitching for a stylish contrast. All-new for 2024, Crosstrek is available in five grades. This includes the Sport grade, which returns with exclusive design details like yellow exterior accents, and the rugged new Wilderness model. Every grade comes standard with all-wheel drive. Corolla Cross’ gas grades are powered

By a 169-horsepower two-liter four-cylinder engine. All Corolla Cross Hybrid electric vehicles use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid electric system with 196 net combined horsepower. To complement that additional power, all Corolla Cross Hybrid electric vehicles include a standard sport-tuned suspension, sharpening its driving dynamics. In terms of efficiency, Corolla Cross has up to an EPA-estimated

32 miles per gallon combined for its gas grades, and an impressive 42 miles per gallon combined on all Corolla Cross Hybrid electric vehicles. Crosstrek is available with a choice of two different four-cylinder engines. The base and Premium grade use a 152-horsepower two-liter unit, while Sport, Limited, and Wilderness

Are powered by a larger 182-horsepower 2.5-liter engine. However, Crosstrek does not offer any hybrid electric grades, and there’s also no sport-tuned suspension. Additionally, its EPA-estimated rating of up to 29 miles per gallon combined with either engine option falls short of Corolla Cross. Corolla Cross stands out with its distinct looks

And standard LED exterior lighting. In addition to the refined appearance of the “L” grades, its hybrid EV grades feature a sportier look complete with a unique grille and eye-catching 18-inch alloy wheels. The Nightshade model enhance Corolla Cross Hybrid electric vehicle’s sporty looks with all-black badging, a black rear liftgate garnish,

Blackout headlight and taillight trim, and 18-inch black-painted alloy wheels. Plus, the available two-tone exterior colors on Hybrid SE, Nightshade, and Hybrid XSE complement the sportier look with a high-contrast style. For added convenience, an available power liftgate lets drivers open the cargo area with just the press of a button.

Crosstrek only comes standard with LED headlights. Similar to Corolla Cross’ hybrid grades, Crosstrek Sport comes with unique design cues like yellow-colored exterior accents and 18-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the Wilderness grade features increased ground clearance and matte-black-finished 17-inch wheels. However, Crosstrek doesn’t have an answer to Corolla Cross’ available two-tone exterior colors

And power liftgate. Corolla Cross prioritizes comfort and convenience with features like its available Smart Key System, and available heated front seats. The driver’s seat can be further enhanced with 10-way power adjustability on select grades, while the available dual-zone automatic climate control keeps the cabin at the preferred temperature.

Corolla Cross’ 60/40 split fold-down rear seats add extra versatility by expanding its cargo capacity, which already measures up to 24 cubic feet behind the rear seats. Crosstrek can also be had with Keyless Access with Push-Button Start, heated front seats, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Dual-zone automatic climate control

Is standard across the lineup. In terms of cargo capacity, Crosstrek only has 19.9 cubic feet behind the rear seats, falling short of Corolla Cross. In Corolla Cross, Toyota’s latest Audio Multimedia platform features a standard eight-inch touchscreen, and includes standard wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay, which connects drivers to the apps on their iPhone,

Including maps, messages, podcasts, and music subscriptions. In addition, wireless Android Auto compatibility makes it easy to stay connected to Android devices and access various apps and services from Google, including YouTube Music and Google Maps. Plus, there’s a standard three-month SiriusXM trial subscription that includes over 165 channels available in-cabin,

And even more on the SiriusXM mobile app, making it easier than ever to enjoy not just ad-free music, but also sports, comedy, and more. And for a top-class listening experience on the road, an available nine-speaker JBL Premium Audio System with amplifier and subwoofer plays tunes in high fidelity.

Additionally, an available Qi-compatible wireless charging keeps mobile devices fully juiced, while the available seven-inch Fully Digital Gauge Cluster puts essential driving information right in the driver’s line of sight. Corolla Cross is also designed to work seamlessly with Toyota’s line of Connected Services, including trials on select grades for Safety Connect and Wi-Fi Connect.

For 2024, Crosstrek comes with standard dual seven-inch touchscreens. In Premium and higher grades, it’s replaced with an 11.6-inch touchscreen, that includes wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Select grades can also be equipped with a 10-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Audio system, but it does not include a subwoofer.

While select grades can be equipped with Qi-compatible wireless charging, Crosstrek doesn’t have an answer to Corolla Cross’s seven-inch Fully Digital Gauge Cluster. Corolla Cross comes with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 as standard equipment, which includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams,

Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. Mid to high grades also include Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Additionally, XLE and Hybrid XSE come standard with Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, easing the act of maneuvering Corolla Cross in congested areas.

Crosstrek comes standard with the EyeSight suite of driver assistance technologies, which has features that are similar to Toyota Safety Sense. All but the base grade can be equipped with Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, while the Limited grade is the only one available with Reverse Automatic Braking. Corolla Cross’ gas grades

Received the 2022 Top Safety Pick Plus award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Every new Corolla Cross comes with ToyotaCare, which provides drivers the reassurance of two years or 25,000 miles of scheduled maintenance, whichever comes first, plus two years and unlimited-mileage, 24-hour roadside assistance. Hybrid electric vehicles

Raise Corolla Cross’ value proposition even higher with a hybrid system warranty that covers select components for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, and a 10-year or 150,000-mile hybrid battery warranty, whichever comes first, making it ideal for long-term ownership. Crosstrek also received the 2022 Top Safety Pick award

From the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Additionally, it’s backed by industry standard warranties and three years or 36,000 miles of roadside assistance, whichever comes first. With its efficiency, capability, and great overall value, it’s clear why Corolla Cross is such a smart choice among compact crossover SUVs. Check out Corolla Cross today at toyota.com.
