How to Use the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander & Plug-in Hybrid Liftgate Kick Sensor
When your hands are full and you need to open the lift gate Mitsubishi has you covered with an available kick sensor No Hands required carrying your fast key with you make a kicking motion a few inches underneath the center of the rear bumper to open the lift
Gate the kick sensor is located here so make sure your foot is perpendicular to this area now you don’t need to actually make contact with the bumper or hold your foot underneath for too long just a quick motion will do to close the lift gate same thing a kicking motion under
The center of the rear bumper if you change your mind you can stop the lift gate with a kicking motion and make the same motion again to reverse the direction now be aware that the kick sensor may not work sometimes specifically when you’re wearing thick rubber boots or if you’re near strong
Radio waves also since the lift gate doesn’t open automatically unless you’re carrying the fast key you may want to leave your key inside while placing a cover over your vehicle or when washing it by hand to avoid unintentionally opening the lift gate you can also disable the power lift gate in the
