The brightness of the side assist system can be changed through the mmi press the driver assistance button select settings and then side assist adjust the brightness to the desired level the system can be turned off in the driver assistance menu by selecting individual the edit list icon and then deselecting
Side assist the exit warning will be shut off as well the available exit warning system works when the vehicle is stationary if a door handle is pulled while a vehicle is approaching from the blind spot a warning strip on the door will illuminate the lights in the mirror housing will also illuminate alerting
The approaching vehicle the opening of the door will also be slowed briefly
