And one more thing, which is a game changer for me. The integration of Google Maps. Oh brother, don’t ask what it is doing. It is so freaking good. You don’t have to put a suction cup and stick your mobile everywhere. You don’t have to do that. It comes there.

I can understand your frustration. It comes there. And the round that they have given. Google has made its own map for a round instrument cluster for the first time. It comes in Ather by the way. But it comes in the same screen in Ather. It comes in the horizontal screen.

But they have done a tremendous job in this. It was so easy. You get lost anywhere. You are lost. But that thing works. And one thing, if you say before that the navigation used to come on it. It was a small screen. Also, it was showing direction in terms of arrows. Not map.

Here you can see the map. You can see the map. It is a hill, so you can see the hill. Boss, there are turns here. So it kind of gives you the confidence. And I rode it for almost 3 days. I was absolutely happy. What a product they have made.

Tata somehow manages to be consistent in terms of issues. They are very consistent in that sense. They are still lagging behind in quality checks. And the incident that happened to me was, a lot of people say that I didn’t get a car. So, what happens is

Tata decides, there is a media group and there is an influencer group. So, I am part of the influencer group. But then they forget to invite me for the Nexon facelift media drive, which was happening in my city, Jaipur. They didn’t invite me for that. But they called me for Nexon EV

Which is happening after Nexon, right! So, I told them to invite me to the Nexon facelift drive as well But they said no, we have different teams of both electric and regular ICE So, technically, I refused them, but they convinced me and called me back to back.

Then I said that if the car is coming to Jaipur, then I will drive the car. And I drove the car. Also, Vikas agreed to be a part of Nexon’s electric media drive. Right. In fact, I told the EV guys that I will drive Nexon.

Later, you don’t say that how did you source that car yourself?. The regular ICE, petrol and diesel one. How did you source that? And you won’t come for this. So they were very comfortable. They said, we don’t care about ICE. You can source petrol or diesel from anywhere.

You can drive it anytime. We don’t care. You come just for electric. I said ok, I called the PR team. Said the same thing. They said, we don’t have a problem. You come. You don’t drive the EV. We don’t care. So, I didn’t have anybody to talk to basically

Because they said that we watch the media. We don’t watch influencers. Marketing people watch influencers, But the marketing people don’t know me and all of that. A lot of things. It’s usually very easy for media to talk to companies. If I want it today,

Then I am probably 2-3 calls away from reach- ing the top-level officials of any company. I can call. Tata is one company which even the media can’t approach. You leave the customers. Customers come later. Customers are worried after paying for the car. Their story is different on social media.

After that, there was a big issue. They said, how did you get the car? Then the EV said that you went against our company’s policy. I said, I told you in advance, brother, 7 days ago. I told the PR team 7 days ago in advance, why are you getting shocked?

I have already told you, what more can I tell you? But anyway, whatever happened. But I drove the car. I drove the Nexon and I told you that the quality issues are consistent. Rest, the product is improved. New features have been added. New touch screen finally, which also has its own issues.

Improved product, but it’s still very consistent in terms of issues. I will talk about all three products together. Nexon Petrol, diesel and EV, I think EV Max has improved a lot. Again, they put a little more improvement in it.

Nexon is such a car that initially, I didn’t like it that much because of mechanical issues. Then with the facelift, I started accepting that car. There were some logical things in it. Some variants were very logical, which were actually the most sold variants. And then I started realizing.

There are 60-65 variants, right? Yes, there are a lot of variants. Then I started realizing that this is one of those cars that will actually give more problems to the customers who will own it in the long term. And that started happening. And this is very typical of Tata.

This keeps happening in Tata cars. But I thought, okay, they must have done a good job with the facelift. And not to my surprise, but to my surprise also, in that car, first my screen got switched off, infotainment, then MID got switched off. Then MID started.

And on MID, it displays a message saying Transmission Failure. I’m moving the gear forward. I had DCA. It isn’t not even going to neutral from the drive. not even going in the park, not going anywhere. I stopped the car. It started. Same problem. But you were fortunate in one thing.

And when we drove it, the blind spot monitor was working. They disabled 4 features. They said 4 features won’t work now. So we couldn’t talk much about it. But honestly, I was a little disappointed after seeing the grill. Especially the colours they brought. However, Tata does one thing very well.

Initially, they will argue with you and say that we’ve made a very good product. And then, they understand immediately that it isn’t good. So, they changed 2-3 things immediately. They changed the interior colour. Said, remove it, remove it. It looks really bad. What happens to them is, when they talk to the dealer,

What happened? The dealer says, sir, the customer is abusing. Wait, I will change it. Earlier, when we were telling you in media drive, then why didn’t they agree? But anyway, it happens. It’s not something… I wish they did the same thing with the reviewers and content creators.
