How to Use Driver Information Center in Your EV | Chevrolet
The Driver Information Center shows all the important vehicle details you need to help you drive confidently. These details are displayed right in front of you, so you can keep your focus on the road. And there are five different ways to customize how you want this information to be seen.
First is the Single Gauge view. This layout keeps the speedometer at the center, and lets you customize the position of the vehicle information and infotainment alerts on the left or right, depending on your preference. Then there’s Dual Gauge view, if equipped. Here, the speedometer is placed on the left,
The power-charge gauge is on the right, and the vehicle information set can be found at the center. The Map view gives you a wide view of where you’re navigating to, and displays the current speed at the bottom left. The Driver Assistance view shows information about features such as Adaptive Cruise Control,
If equipped, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning- which provides a brief steering wheel turn to alert you when you are unintentionally drifting out of a lane- and Forward Collision Alert, right in the middle of the DIC. In this layout, the speedometer is displayed on the left
While the infotainment alerts are shown on the right. And the simplest one, Clean view, if equipped. Here, the speedometer is displayed at the center, and the infotainment alerts appear on the right. Want to switch between these views? Just press the “View” button on the steering wheel to cycle through the options.
When driving an electric vehicle, there are two important gauges to look for. The Battery Level shows how much charge your vehicle has. While the Power Gauge shows where your vehicle’s energy is going—whether it’s going out of the battery- or back into the battery with regenerative braking. When regenerative braking is active,
The regen battery icon changes to green, and the power gauge will show how much power is being regenerated. At very high states of charge, or in very cold weather, the regen icon will be gray, as the amount of regen braking is limited. Charging your EV? You’ll know that your EV is charging
When the battery level lights up in green, and the remaining charging time is displayed as well. If it appears in red, it means that an error occurred, and the cord is not inserted properly. If you scheduled your charge, the battery level will light up in blue and the estimated charge time
And target charge level will be displayed. When you’re not charging, it shows the current battery level in white. While if the state is unknown, the battery percentage will not be visible, and the level will be shown in gray. If this happens, try restarting your vehicle to fix it.
With the Driver Information Center right in front of you, you can get behind the wheel with confidence.
