“Tacoma X-Runner Concept” 2023 SEMA Build | Toyota #Shorts

On the heels of the launch of the 2024 Tacoma we want to show that we’re not done here. Get this call from Sheldon. He goes Hey remember the X-Runner? I want you to really turn the volume up on it. We got to sketching right away.

There’s a lot of things that make the all new Tacoma adaptable to various lifestyles. This is just another way that Tacoma can be utilized that we hadn’t explored yet. One of the coolest absolute features on this is being able to drop the 3.4 liter twin turbo V6 into this truck. The frame itself is being modified.

It was originally a D-cab the 4 door cab. They’ve removed the old cab mounts. They’ve put new cab mounts to accept the B-Max cab. We want to keep the product fresh, we want to keep it exciting and we want to keep giving our customers the things that they want.

So SEMA is a great place throw out a proof of concept and say hey what do you think about this?

Come along for this exciting ride as the Design and Engineering teams from Toyota R&D and Toyota’s famous Calty Design Studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan, go from brainstorm to the exhibit floor at the 2023 SEMA show by morphing an all-new 2024 Tacoma into a slammed, modern-day X-Runner.
