Ford Mustang® Track Apps ®
Track Apps is a fun, useful feature that measures the performance of the Ford Mustang on the track. To access Track Apps, press the pony button on the instrument panel. Or on the touchscreen, you can select Features, MyMustang. Then press Track Apps and select the performance metric you’d like to see.
Acceleration Timer allows you to test your vehicle’s acceleration performance. You can see your acceleration times and personal best for certain speeds and distances. Brake Performance displays your vehicle’s rate of deceleration for a given speed range. Lap Timer gives you the ability to record lap times and personal bests at three separate tracks.
Launch Settings allows you to set the RPM for launch control which maximizes the vehicle’s traction from a standing start. With Shift Indicator on a Mustang with a manual transmission, you can optimize your performance during shifting.
You can select the RPM you want to shift at and be alerted to do so with visual and audible cues. If your vehicle is equipped with Drift Brake, this feature allows you to lock up the rear tires for drift maneuvers.
Line Lock maintains brake force at the front wheels, allowing the rear wheels to spin with minimal vehicle movement. It’s intended to condition the rear tires to maximize traction prior to drag strip use. Launch Control is for manual transmissions and temporarily holds the engine RPM at a
Set point and maximizes traction to the wheels for a more aggressive start. And lastly, Rev Match is also for manual transmissions. It provides a smoother driving experience. It predicts shifts, and as you shift to a lower gear, it quickly raises the engine RPM to the new gear.
