FIRST EVER! 2025 Mazda CX-70
I’m Jacob I’m Yuri and we’re not going for a drive all right so we’re checking out the 2025 Mazda cx70 what is this is this just a cx90 with no third row that’s exactly what this is it is not slated between like a cx50 and a cx90 this is
Just a two row version of a cx90 size-wise exterior wise almost ident to the 990 okay this one’s an inline six and then over here we have the pav do we have the horsepower and torque Yuri horsepower and torque the inline six-cylinder these are not official numbers but it does have the same
Powertrain as the cx90 has unofficially 340 horsepower and 369 lbet of torque from a 3.3 L inline 6 Turbo with M hybrid boost and that plug-in hybrid has a theoretical 323 horsepower and 369 pound feet of torque from an e Sky Active G plug-in hybrid which is a 2.5 L
4 cylinder again these are not official numbers and we will pop the hoods later so stick around for the rest of the video because we have to disconnect some cables cuz this is a a nice setup for us right now okay looks wise I’ve noticed that this phav has color matched
Cladding on the top trim but that apparently is only a Canadian thing yeah so there are some differences between models these are actually Canadian models that we’re looking at even though we are in New York Shut Out New York thank you for master for hosting us out
Here and uh what do you think at this one with the all color match black I think this looks pretty good it looks awesome in Black it’s got black wheels which again is a Canadian thing I don’t think the US one is going to have black
Wheels on it but it does look awesome all black I love the Body Lines yeah but I really like those Wheels which are like kind of a machined look which again there’s going to be some differences between Canadian models and US models and if you’re wondering the Continental
Recommended tire would be the Viking contact sevens for the winter and the cross contact LX Sports yeah it looks like we also have a black spoiler on here compared to the cx90 which does not have that and we should say that these are both the top trims from both of
These models okay most importantly we should check the inside to see if Jacob fits behind himself at 6’1 and A2 cuz Yuri at 5’8 he fits in everything yeah come on let’s be real okay driving position we’ll get into all this interior stuff later eie will dig around
In here I’d say I’m let’s go a little bit further make this real tough on Mazda Mazda cuz we’re in America America okay here we go ooh the doors open 90 that’s that’s really good no problem head room leg room I would say this is very good we

No middle row it’s what a luxury feature they’ve never had that before and then another cool thing when we pull this out we have a a cool compartment for other things and I guess we I think this is pickle ball I haven’t played pickle ball ever before me neither so that that’s cool
But um if you called that pickle ball I would believe you Yuri a lot more storage which is nice I guess this isn’t meant for people who need a third row this is just for people who need a normal SUV but they need more room and like let’s look again how much room
There actually is back here so this is like more than half of 5’8 there you go that’s the height and sorry length okay we got uh some grocery bag hangers back here which is nice which apparently is also new for Mazda we do have some power
Here but it’s just 12vt power and we will check out the plug-in hybrid which is slightly different as well do we have lock and close yes we do yes we do all right e would you like to explore the first row let’s go okay so in here
Basically looks like a cx90 we do have some different textured patterns available I believe I don’t see any gloss black which is really nice this is all like a nice matte finish this texture this pattern looks really cool got a rotary knob to control our infotainment which I don’t want to press
Cuz this is a demo model so something’s probably going to break it’s going to start beeping for us yeah exactly uh the steering wheel also looks like the one that’s in the cx90 if I recall got all those buttons and everything up there I think there are some new safety features
For this cx70 as well so in Canada we do have an SOS button now which is kind of like the OnStar things if you crash it’ll give the police a shut right away and now for the cx70 we have Amazon Alexa in here yeah to help control stuff
I’m having trouble connecting check your network connection and try again not in this particular inside demo model but it does apparently work so you could change your thermostat at home if you’d like yeah and maybe control some car stuff we’re not 100% sure yet and what’s nice
Is we do have full hard button climates which a lot of new cars are getting rid of and it kind of sucks that’s right sorry I was getting excited with the visor is over here okay you’re going to you’re going to do it without me come

Thing I hated the most about the cx50 was that Stitch so let’s see what it feels like there butt Stitch test I don’t feel it I didn’t either I think they reduced the amount of thong feel in the seats and I’m very impressed let’s see what’s the lumbar feel like
Forward back no up down kind of disappointed for such a you know top trim top trim but it is like a good amount of Lumbar it feels good it’s not just like a point to my back and another cool thing the back we’ve got nice peasant blockers oh I saw that look at
That look at that and I think this is great this car is great if you have like one kid and a dog and you go do stuff if you have multiple kids then you’d go to like cx90 or something or a minivan yeah but for just one I think this is a great
Option because there’s so much more room in the back if you go camping or go to a college or something in a CX5 you don’t have as much room to put all that kid stuff that you do in this would you like to go check out some of the differences
On the plug-in hybrid yeah yes all right plug in hybrid trunk are there any differences well first of all we’ve got a cooler here for a reason check this out we actually have a full three-prong plug back here with 1,500 watts of electricity that’s it so that’s pretty
Cool because it’s a plugin hybrid we got a little bit more juice in this thing which makes sense why they did that is it taking up any space in the underneath cargo thing because of the battery let’s check uh okay use your muscles can we
Take this thing out is it full of food I can take this thing out I got muscles come on see what is there food in there give me some credit I don’t know it’s maybe there’s stuff in here maybe this is our lunch bro that was too much back
And not enough knees that was this uh what do we got here these are some backpacks loaded with nothing oh this looks the same I would call that the same yeah it looks like we’re not really missing out on any room no so good job battery can’t
Be too big let’s go check out the inside to see if there’s any differences with materials or anything like that all right Yuri I don’t really see any differences in here in terms of material quality but color yeah color different the Stitch still I don’t feel anything

Nice I got like this rotary knob you know how much I love this rotary knob compared to other infotainment so I’m excited to see that cop holders up here not back here anymore more which makes it way easier to grab your cup and have a drink got a wireless charger we got
Our hybrid button everything is nice and easy to see very refreshing compared to a lot of mistakes made in other manufacturers cars currently and we do have heated and ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel which is always nice to see yeah this is this is good we
Got a nice big like moon roof kind of thing oh and we got crossbars on this one which is probably some kind of accessory cuz the other one does not have that so we can assume that this is an 8-speed Auto as well since this is borrowing the power train from the cx90
And we also have not tuxmat down here look at that coverage e we need a lot more coverage there so get yourself a set of tuxmat go to tuxmat dcom thestraightpipes to get yourself maximum coverage just like Yuri’s CX5 cuz no they don’t have this model yet cuz it
Literally just came out right now but would it be the same as the cx90 it might be actually we’ll have to test that let tuxmat let us know okay a cool thing about these cars looks-wise look at the back here I don’t think we have
This it looks it’s easier to see in the white one I don’t think we have this kind of cutout in the cx90 oh honestly my memory fails me Yuri and then at the front I think we also don’t have the same kind of shape that we do up here
But the headlights to me look virtually identical we’d have the nice little pattern up here that kind of Blends in with the headlight as well yeah headlight and Grill looks the same but I think this is the only little accent that makes it stand out a little different and what’s nice is when
There’s a front plate on here it’s going to be mounted right here below the grill so you’re not going to be blocking it at all oh and I do have a fun fact so these have a towing mode these can tow up to 5,000 lb which the cx90 also can in its
Most towable mode but there’s now a trailer View Camera which we can’t show you but we can show you from the pre-recorded footage so from when we previously drove both of these models and our reviews I think I kind of like the plug-in hybrid version more what
About you Jacob I feel like I like this powertrain a lot but for some reason I felt a little bit more comfortable with that one I don’t really recall and we’ll have to see if these drive any differently because these will be available to buy sooner than you think
In the spring of 2024 even though they are 2025 model years so if you do want to buy one of these go to tsp. card.com for discounted price offers and if you can’t wait you might as well just buy a cx90 and keep the third row down because
