The PECO e-Track at the 2024 Philadelphia Auto Show featured guests the ability to take a quick ride in several EV or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. This particular video shows a quick 0-50 mph run in the beginning straightaway before guests take a simulated winding back around to the starting point. The vehicle you see here is @toyotausa’s RAV4 Prime in the XSE trim, the most expensive trim in the entire RAV4 line, gas or hybrid. Most RAV4 Prime XSEs that I’ve seen being allocated, at least to my local Toyota dealership, are in the $49,000-$52,000 price range, without including sales tax, title, license, and other fees.
Now, as of the date the video was shot and the date it was uploaded, I’ll be blunt; I am in the market for a new car. I’ve had my current car for 15 years and it is still going strong, but needs stuff replaced and the total of which is more than the current value of the car. I truly believe the perfect vehicle for me would be the RAV4, whether it be the gas or the Hybrid; the Prime is great, but super expensive and at the same time, with my travels, I’ve found that I am not able to take full advantage of the 42+ mile EPA range on full EV. Let’s find $37,000 and let’s go places…
