Skiing is outdoor. It’s different conditions. We need different types of skis, different types of material, edges, base and also how you want to prepare them. So I always talk to my service guy and try to understand what he thinks about the weather, the snow. And then during the training we figure out

What actually works on this type of snow. So the relationship between me and my ski technician is like a really tight friendship. He is the one that I’m communicating the most with. We want to try and develop and try to take the next step because you always want to be better than yesterday.

So for me it is always trying to find things and trying to be creative and wanting to do something new. I wouldn’t be able to ski well if I didn’t have skis that work. It’s the same for a car driver. You need to have a fast car to be able to win.

Quattro set the stage for a legacy of innovation and a visionary mindset. Everything started in rally racing when our advanced drivetrains elevated performance to new heights. Passion and commitment, this is what defines Vorsprung durch Technik. After doing the first training, I have a feeling that I can bring into the race,

So I’m just going through the course in my head, just trying to remember how I felt. And usually it’s kind of rough. And I know that I’m nervous at the start. And also it’s super icy, bumpy and just knowing where to be in balance, where to go,

How tight a line I can go, how aggressive I can go into it. This is the balance. This is what we always work on. And we try to work every day to find the perfect setup. So progress that I can feel is something that I’ve tried to imagine.

And when I hit the imagination, then I know I did something right.

In episode two of Metrics of Progress, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde and Audi uncover the parallels between Kilde’s precision on the slopes and Audi’s quattro technology, both dedicated to achieving peak performance and control.

For Kilde, every detail matters, for Audi, quattro technology echoes this pursuit, both crafting a thrilling winter experience through skill and ambition.
