Introducing the All-New Transit Custom MS-RT
This is the all-new Transit Custom MS-RT* from Ford Pro, the pinnacle of the latest generation of Europe’s leading one-tonne van.** With motorsport heritage, Ford’s Transit designers and engineers have worked with the specialists from MS-RT and their connections to M-Sport’s motorsport programme.
In addition to its stunning appearance, this flagship model of the Transit Custom MS-RT line-up offers a new, more powerful EV powertrain with 210 kilowatts. That’s 285 PS. Along with a rear-wheel drive chassis and independent rear suspension, it will offer the drive to match the looks.
The new Transit Custom MS-RT will be available from Ford dealers across Europe in a range of eye catching colors. The striking appearance on the exterior begins with a unique front end from these bold air intakes to the integrated lower spoiler.
All part of this aerodynamic front fascia within the grille, the MS-RT badging and above a unique visual cue of the battery electric vehicle this coast to coast light that runs between the LED headlights offering glare-free high beam. Beneath, on the front right hand side,
You’ll find the charging flap with the flag designating where to open it. Moving to the side where you’ll find the largest standard wheel ever on a Transit Custom. The unique MS-RT design, the 19-inch anthracite alloy wheel. These are wrapped in 235/54 R19 tyres,
The widest tyre also ever found on a Transit Custom for more grip and drivability. Those are then paired with for the first time again painted callipers on a Ford commercial vehicle here in MS-RT blue. Those are then surrounded with wider wheel arches to give the vehicle a wider stance,
And there’s a range of stunning signature paint colours unique to the Transit Custom MS-RT which are complemented with the gloss black finish that you see, the door mirror caps and also the door handles to give it a sportier look and feel. Sport side skirts lower the overall stance,
Offering a more dynamic and planted appearance which is supported by the black accent for contrast and even more road presence. Moving towards the rear, we have a completely redesigned three-quarter panel that features the integrated reflector. There’s a full new look for the bumper with diffuser
Inspired by motorsport with an optional tow bar that’s available. We have parking sensors front and rear and also the reversing camera*** and you’ll find MS-RT badging in this case on the optional tailgate, but also with the standard cargo doors. Up above, at the top of the back of the cab,
We have a new spoiler that’s been CFD tested providing the vehicle with additional downforce. The spoiler wraps around the side of the vehicle with extra vents new and unique to the Transit Custom MS-RT. Moving to the interior where we find the all-new ergonomic sports seats with side bolster support
Finished with eco leather and suede, MS-RT logos, blue contrast stitch and also in the rear with the MS-RT flag design and floor mats. Up front, we have heated seats and, for the driver, six-way power adjustment with lumbar support. In this particular vehicle with the five-seat configuration,
We have the two seats with the storage compartment area in the very centre, as opposed to the three-seat panel van setup which would offer a double passenger seat in its place. There’s an all-new ergonomic, heated sportsteering wheel featuring the 12 o’clock marker and contrast stitching in matching blue.

We’ve been taking a look at the flagship of the line-up the full battery electric vehicle with 210 kilowatts,
285 PS available exclusively as the Transit Custom MS-RT, But of course there are various different configurations available in terms of the powertrain and the bodystyle. Now one of those would be the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, combining a 2.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor offering 56 kilometers of full electric range.
Then there are a number of different diesel derivatives, starting with a six-speed manual with 150 PS. Also the eight-speed automatic with 170 PS, which can be had either in two wheel drive or with the optional intelligent all wheel drive.
Now each of those can be had as the panel van with three seats, or as we have here, the double cab-in-van with the five-seat configuration, and then again any of the above either as the short wheelbase or the long wheelbase. The Transit Custom MS-RT sits at the absolute
Top of the Transit Custom line up in terms of being the most sporty and premium model with sales and warranty services available across Europe from all Ford Transit Centres. *Officially homologated electric range, fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions figures will be published closer to on-sale date.
