BEST Long Range Electric Bike That YOU CAN FIX YOURSELF – Lacros Thunder FAST Full Suspension E-Bike
All right he what’s up y’all so we received an allterrain uh bike with full suspension to review so this will be our first ebike of uh 2024 um I’m hoping for another year of receiving a lot of cool ebikes because every year the ebike get a little bit
Better like they have a little bit better features and things like that so the bike that we received is a uh and I hope I’m saying this right lacrosse uh Thunder and this bike weighs 83 lbs maximum weight of the rer is 350 lb advertised to go 60 to 80 m per charge
Um don’t know how fast the bike goes we’re going to test that out this bike also have a 750 W Motor 48 volt a 20 amp hour battery and 20 is up there with the highest amp hour that I get on an ebike that’s not like a long range ebike cuz
Some of these long range ebikes be having like 52 volt batter batteries and crazy stuff like that so this is my first bike from uh lacrosse so I have no experience so if you have any experience with lacr bikes uh feel free to comment below to purchase this ebike feel free

Would like so what we’re going to do is we’re going to unbox this we’re going to go through all of the features and everything we’re going to go onroad we’re going to go Offroad to test out the battery light and uh see if this is a great full sizee
Ebike to start 2024 off with the whole streamer thing with Adam so this is what the bike looks like fresh out the box it does look like it was packaged pretty well um they even added wrapping around the wheel don’t see any damages so far or any scratches on the bike so let’s go ahead and get this thing unwrapped
This is what the bike looks like without the wrapping now I do see some small chipping uh on the body here um but that’s about it so it looks like we’re going to have to put the handlebar on uh which is attached via wire I’m pretty
Sure we’re going to have to put the head light and the front fender on too but the rear rack is already installed so that’s good looks like we will have to put this 26 by4 allterrain wheel on um with lacrosse tires I never had a tire from lacrosse before I do wonder what
Tire this is uh really I know lacr put their name on it but this bike also came with a box so let’s see what’s in the box look like we have our pedals which are labeled small array of tools there a quick release front wheel axle which I
Love because it makes it easy to take that front wheel off and looks like we have an owner’s manual okay assembly instructions uh look pretty old school um have some uh look like line drawings here I usually like clearer pictures but this box is on battery charger let’s see
What that looks like charge our 48 volt 20 amp hour Samsung battery look pretty standard so the first thing we’re going to do is go ahead and put this front wheel on before we put this front wheel on we do have to take this out of this Brake so it doesn’t look like we got a wrench that we can use to take this headlight off so that we can and put the front fender on take this uh headlight off so what we’re going to do is I’m going to put my headlight on here I’m
Going to put my front fender on the outside of my headlight there and we’re going to screw it in then we’re going to screw it all in and I’ll put the nut and a washer on the other Side So what we’re going to do now is uh we’re going to unscrew this at the top here we’re going to also unscrew these not fully but just enough to turn this this way and then we’re going to unscrew these so that we can put our handlebar In we’re now going to make sure the alignment is good we’re going to align it directly to our headlight Let’s uh tighten it up now that I think it’s Aligned so we got this bike put together only took us about 20 minutes uh the assembly was pretty standard this ebike is pretty big um from Wheel to wheel is about 6 ft 3 in Long the seat at its lowest point is about 2′ 11 in from the
Floor The Handlebar which is not adjustable is about 3 F 7 in from the floor regarding these tires they do have a decent amount of grip to them which I like uh they’re not the grippiest tires that I’ve had but uh they’re not slick either so um looking forward to how
They’re going to perform Offroad get a look at at the rear and front hydraulic disc brakes and I love how this bike looks like it does have a a good design to it kind of reminds me of my favorite uh fullsize ebike but my favorite fulls
Sizee ebike has a wider tires and y’all can feel free to go through my videos to uh figure out which bike I’m talking about but I think this is a good looking bike um tell me what y’all think and a lot of the parts on this bike are pretty
Standard U from my experience with reviewing over 30 bikes a lot of these parts are standard uh which is a good thing because a lot of times the customer service with these bikes is uh is trash I’m just gonna be honest um so a lot of parts uh you’re going to have
To probably order and put on the bike yourself but a lot of ebikes are snap and play so you want a bike that has standard Parts going to now use one of these keys to take the battery out so it’s not hard to find a um LG Samsung 48
Volt 20 amp hour battery um they’re pretty easy to find on Alex Express eBay and Amazon but the bike is but this company currently does not have any replacement batteries on their website and um which is fine but this battery is a little different like it has uh
Usually you have a lever that you move to the left or the right with this battery you have a button that you press to uh bring the battery out um which is a little different but I think as long as the brand uh the voltage and the amp
Hour is the same on these batteries uh you can exchange them but I’m having a hard time finding a battery that has this button on it look at that suspension now this suspension is a little bit more on the heavy duty side um usually when I get a suspension like
This that uh you know accommodates where the body accommodates the suspension like this it usually delivers regarding uh making your off-road rides really smooth but we’re going to test that out later give you all an idea of what the rear suspension is like like we also have adjustable suspension in the front
So if you want to lock out your suspension let’s say you on the flat surface turn it this way if you want to open up your suspension uh turn it give youall an idea of the front suspension this bike has a nice wide handlebar handle bar is about 2T 3 in
Wide the handlebar grips are this uh soft uh leather like grip which I like the most it doesn’t look like this bike has a horn but it does have a bell of course we have our handlebar brakes a standard Shimano gear shifter you have seven gears so we’re not going
To turn turn this LCD M5 which is also pretty standard uh display on and we’re going to do that by pressing and holding the M button going to go through some of the basic display items on this display uh look like our battery life is at the top
Our speed is calculated here and uh you can change this from miles per hour to kilometers our pedal assist mod and if you press up on the panel um let’s see how many mes we got pretty sure we have five at the bottom read our odometer we
Have not ridden a bike yet if you you uh click M on your panel you can get more options down here then you can get your trip uh your trip odometer how many miles have you written on your last trip uh how long has the
Bike been on so we’re now going to go into some of the advanced settings so to go into the advanced setting we’re going to press and hold the plus and the minus button on our panel and I’m not going to go through all of the settings but I will go
Through some of them now P1 is how bright do you want your display um and you press up and down to change your value value you press uh the M button to uh save that value and go to the next one p02 is if you want to calculate your
Speed in kilometers or milph we’re going to hit the M button p08 is your limit speed and that’s in kilometers so that’s um how fast this bike can go looks like it goes a maximum of 51 km uh P11 is your pedal assist sensitivity and I
Always think this is a bonus um because I do think your sensitivity should be able to be adjusted because it may be different for people who are different weights so that’s great and p12 is your start intensity so this is if you want to uh take off fast or if you want your
Take off to be more gradual look like you can adjust it here so so we’re about to try the different pedals this mode started with mode one we have roded the bike a little bit but uh haven’t really tested out the speed of each mode so see how fast we go on
Mod one here go upper gear you know this bike is a little gradual um I’ve had more gradual bikes but definitely doesn’t send you flying so uh I guess that’s personal preference I like bikes that are a little gradual so all right so that’s uh about 12 see what these brakes are
Like okay break’s good so far but we’re now going to switch it to mode three all let’s see how fast we go in mode three oh that that pist kicked off right away in mod three okay uh still kind of gradual though it kicked off a little quicker but it’s
Still taking a minute to get to the maximum speed of m 3 I Guess uh all right so good brakes but uh 15 mph mode three uh I thought it’d be faster than that on mode 3 now it’s time to switch it to mode 5 and I’ve already kind of tested out the speed on Moi but not on such a short
And straight strip so I am curious on how fast we’re going to go on a short strip but I’ll show y’all The Other M five test later P fif kicked off right away in mole five 28 oh all right I hit 29 on a short strip but we’ll test out the maximum speed
Again later so you did more than what you normally do on the off-road uh test I like it what you think suspension perfect suspension is perfect okay all Right suspension so good I had to do it Again So uh lacr um electric bike what are your thoughts I like this bike this bike was very smooth um I feel like the thing that stood out the most was the suspension the suspension right like I like the suspension so much that I I turned around and did the offroad again the
Seat I’mma give like a six not it wasn’t as bad as you thought right not as bad as I thought I do love that it’s a a throttle mhm you like The Twist throttle yeah you don’t like the thumb throttle uh I just like the twist throttle better
Than the thumb throttle because I like doing it I think the tires did well Offroad the display sorry y’all it’s a little boring you like the color displays now yeah it’s a little boring you done got spoiled I I haven’t gotten spoiled this is given uh 1990 something
Other than that I think that the bike was pretty good I wish that this was a step through cuz I’m I’m like average height 5 56 yeah like 5’5 56 and I had to go like this get over time oh the turns are dope turn turns were solid
What you think of the speed one through three is questionable and then four and five just takes off more four and five takes off so what you get this bike on the scale from 1 to 10 I think I’m going give this I’m going say 8 and 1/2 8 and
1/2 all right beautiful day today we’re going to go ahead and get our point of view shots in uh we’re going to start by doing some uh off-road we’re going to go through some gravel test these uh tires out which I’ve never used before see how things go here and it
Should be pretty wet too okay minor slipping minor slipping but nothing too crazy all right not bad uh I’m really liking the suspension so far though let’s break and minor slipping so we’re now going to do just a little bit of uh off-road riding and it rained yesterday
So it should be a little bit of mud out here too okay all right not bad actually uh really smooth all right uh yeah this is up there yep definitely up there but uh I’ll do some more off-road riding later wide handlebar and uh big grippy wheels you
Can’t lean until your turns on this bike I like leaning because I think it gives you more control over your turns okay we’re going to do some more off-road riding uh let’s go mold four see what this feels like offro with some heels okay and again it’s a little wet out
Here all right not bad oh okay oh this is better than average absolutely better than average uh yep definitely better than average that this kind of suspension really delivers so uh man that’s pretty good the off-road capability is really really nice like it it felt really smooth um
Off-road and I like how smooth the bike is in general now it’s not smooth enough where I feel comfortable riding without my hand on The Handlebar like it’s a little shaky like I’ll try here you know it’s a little it’s not that smooth but um it’s smooth enough and uh the pedal
Assist is pretty much perfect uh if I go up a gear go up a a pelis mode see it’s not gradual but it doesn’t send you flying either all right so we are about to try out the um throttle only Max Speed throttle only so I’m not pedaling
Let’s uh see how fast we go here and uh the takeoff for throttle only was also pretty perfect it didn’t send me flying but it wasn’t super gradual either hey 28 okay so I stay 28 M mil hour throughout we’re now going to try Max Speed pedal assist how fast we go 26
28 29 all right look like 29 mph all right so we are about to test out the performance of this bike uh going up a hill so uh I’m not going to Pedal I’m just going to use the throttle we can get an idea of what the motor is like
And the battery is like going up a hill all right so it look like we got up to 24 milph we’re going to the hill now let’s see how much battery life and how much um Power we lose okay 22 21 okay 20 19 17 16
15 all right so it look like we lost about 9 milph so lacr Thunder uh definitely a solid bike uh what I like the most about this bike is the off-road capabilities I would say the off-road performance was top five uh the suspension especially is the top five
And the battery life like I went on an 11 M bike ride mainly in mold 3 but also did some throttle only and I did the throttle only Upper Hill and uh in that 11 miles I lost one out of 10 battery bars so based on that bike ride that’s
More like 90 m per charge or or even 100 m per charge somewhere up in there that’s pretty good for an ebike with a 20 amp hour battery and I love the fact that a lot of these parts are standard so a lot of times with ebikes you want
To get standard Parts because the customer service is TR so you want to get standard parts that way you can do a lot of the maintenance yourself like with the ebike a lot of the electrical components are snap in place so you can kind of order the parts
Yourself uh install them yourself so I like the fact that a lot of these parts are standard like the battery the display the brakes you know everything is pretty standard so I love the fact that you have over 10 advanced settings on your display including the ability to
Adjust your pedal assist sensitivity as well as your takeoff speed and the bike is a perfect size for a guy my size which is uh 511 6 ft with shoes on um I didn’t feel like the handle bar was too far away from the seat or anything like
That so on a scale from 1 to 10 um I will give this bike a nine um and and I think the price is because of the dual suspension and the fact that it does have really good battery life so so comment below on what you would give
