70 mph ebike & made in America – Land Moto electric motorcycles
All right so we are at aim Expo in Las Vegas and I spotted something that I’ve been seeing all over the Internet introduce yourself and tell us what you got so my name is Vince I’m from Land energy uh right in front of us we have the land Moto District this is our
Scrambler model um this bike starts at 7,000 it top speed is over 70 mph and up to 120 Mi of EV range wow um we handb build this bike right here in Cleveland Ohio made in the USA uh this bike features swappable battery pack so if we open up this lid
Here this battery pulls right out you just unplug those three connections yeah you can unplug these three connections pulls straight out the top there nice how big is that battery by the way so this is our 5.5 Max Kow battery wo that’s a big battery yeah we
Started our company in 2020 we think 2024 is going to be great year for us we ramped up production and we’re ready to get this bike out there nice what kind of motor is turning this back wheel here I see I see a gear reduction going on
Yeah so we have a mid Drive Unit this is a 17 uh Kow Peak uh 11 nominal and that goes to our mid Drive Unit we call it our Jack shaft uh belt drive to our Jack shaft and then a chain drive system we like the chain drive because uh it
Induces some some character and vibration back into the bike and uh it just makes it a little more it gives it a little more life like a motorcycle yeah makes you feel like you’re riding a motorcycle so uh the maintenance on this bike it’s you know you have your chain
You’re going to you’re going to maintain and Lube um and then brake pads maintenance on this bike compared to a gas counter part is uh next to nothing so the speaking of the brakes um dot states that your front brake is going to be on the right here and your rear is on
The left okay so no foot brake it’s just nice and easy up here and then we have mura brakes uh fantastic Brake company super well known in the market so back to that dot part so this can be registered as a motorcycle then right yeah this is a motorcycle now um
Depending in some areas some some local laws and regulations will let you ride this as an ebike back home in Cleveland Ohio uh we take the plate off we keep this in ebike mode and we can rip on our bike paths so what is ebike mode what is
That so uh the modes are as follows mode one is ebike mode top speed of 27 mph um mode two is e moped mode top speed of 38 mph uh three is motorcycle mode and four is Performance Motorcycle mode you get 20% more torque um we find
This bike is really good if you’re Moto curious you’re you’re getting into motorcycle riding this is great because it’s only 230 lbs with the big battery so it’s really light it’s very inviting there’s no uh you know Fear Factor of having to work or learn a clutch so you
Can hop right on this put it in those first two modes and feel real comfortable it’s easy to get into yeah but if you’re an experienced rider uh it this has great great torque so uh it’s just a blast to rip and if you’re an experienced rider it keeps you really
Engaged nice are the front forks are those adjustable or non-adjustable what are non adjustable front forks these are proprietary to us they work well with most weights um our rear shock is adjustable for all weight groups it’s an air shock so this bike can really be set
Up for all Riders we also offer a lower shock so if you’re a shorter Rider you can still feel confident tighten your feet on the ground nice of course I see the blinkers I see the brake lights can you pack a second person on here or no
So we didn’t design it to uh I’ve seen it done but we did not design it for that yeah so for now no okay yeah yeah this is a single Rider bike very cool and obviously this looks like it’s biased towards off-roading I see another model too can
You can you can we move them around and sure yeah or if you want to come back here I can can show you our street version um so you’ll notice the main difference is going to be the tires our front fenders are a little bit different um this bike does feature our our
Shorter shot so uh when you get on this bike I mean it’s just very feels very sturdy slow slow nice on that thing 30 in this would be 30 2 in oh okay cool our bikes start at 7,000 um and depending on how you configure them what what accessories you
Put on them they can go upwards to uh just over 10 oh okay we offer quite a few accessories for these this bike features our bash guards and our Arrow wheel covers uh we offer side panels and soft bags and we also have three different racks that we offer we just
Released a power tap option that is mountable on the bike and it Taps into the to the battery so you can power your devices we find a lot of people who are putting these on the back of their Vans or or going uh camping in their RV this
Is nice cuz you can run into town but also back at Camp you can tap into the power power your devices so this this right here is to Pivot the motor and what that does is the belt on the other side it releases the belt um and you can
Adjust the belt tension uh we also offer a uh gearing option for this front sprocket it’s super easy to change uh this Jack shaft just drops out you pull out this axle and that Jack shaft drops out as a cassette and you can uh change your gearing and and uh we can flash
Your uh controller to adjust the calibration for the speed change that’s cool so you can you can be speed biased or Torque biased exactly so this bike here this has our 15 to torque option uh it does reduce the topend speed to about 56 mph but it takes off and it’s
So fun yeah this is really for the thrill seeker um it’s it’s a it’s a lot of fun this gives you that more top end speed um a little more top end torque too this is a little more down low but um depending on what you like what you
Prefer we wanted to give our Riders options we offer a smartphone app that connects to the bike and what that can allow you to do is you can actually lock it down into those lower ride modes so if you’re a new Rider and you don’t you know you don’t want to actually access
Those those performance modes uh you can lock it down into mode one and two until you feel more comfortable so you you can not accidentally uh access those modes yeah so uh there’s virtually no no torque in mode one it’s a great way to learn and get comfortable with the bike yeah very

This bike is nuts! It can go 70+mph and 120 miles on a full charge. Perfect for most commuters.
Or it can be set to ebike mode and only go a max speed of 27 mph so you can ride it in places bicycles go. (Remove the plate of course).
I have never heard of such a thing but that’s what this bike can do! Thats pretty cool.
