2024 Audi Q5 E (Plug In Hybrid): Better Than The SQ5?

Below let’s get into It under the hood we have a turbocharged 2 L 4 cylinder paired to a hybrid system and a s-speed automatic transmission now the mpge rating is 58 with the mpg rating so that is without any sort of hybrid assist being 26 M per gallon and then this can go 23 M on a
Charge and it puts out a whopping 362 horsepower and 369 lb feet of torque so similar power figures to the SQ5 now before we move forward with this review I do want to mention if you want to see more videos just like this then I recommend you subscribe because I post
Content every single day so starting with the hood you guys can see it’s pretty flat there in the center and then you’ve got those distinctive lines there on either side pretty cool boxy look and then popping down below look at the headlight design here and then you guys
Can see with the blacked out trim and then notice how the grill is also blacked out as well and putting it all together the contrast between the black and the white on this looks really sharp now we’re on the side here our TI wheel setup is 2554520 in the front and over
In the rear you can see here with the wheels you got the silver with the metallic gray and you got the big old red brake caliper which I think contrasts very nicely body painted Fender Flare here and then you can see with the sine badge and then again more
Of that black trim same thing around the windows and then this one has the crossbar setup and then here is your full side view with this Q5 now take a look at the key fob we have our lock and unlock function we got the opening here
For the hatch with the Audi logo there at the bottom and then popping into the back with the Q5 you get quite a bit of storage space this is one of the reasons why it’s such an appealing SUV and then we also have these tabs this throws down
The seat so you can get even more storage as well and then when you’re all done just press that button and that will lower the hatch right back down got the cool tail lights here you have these secondary lights because the tail lights are on a moving piece you can see the
Rest of the badges getting blocked out and then putting it all together let me guys think about the looks here with this Q5 and it looks just like any other Q5 the only difference is you have this door here for charging it now inside we’ve got soft touch here at
The top we’ve got the wood trim across you can see this kind of like cream coloration on this one and the notice that is on the seats as well with the black stitching and then leg room here in the back is solid we got a little
Cargo net there got some vents here in the back we got our own climate zone some USBS as well and then hyro back here it’s pretty good now take a look at the front door panel again soft touch here and you see the trim that goes across and then all
Of the padding down below all for Window Control control here with our mirror adjustments mirrors do power fold in get your memory seat function and then blind spot ring with the mirrors and then take a look at the front seat again with all that stitching got your power
Adjustments here on the side light controls here and then look at the wood trim and then again soft touch across the dash now Tak a look at the steering whe you can see perforated all around got the S logo there at the bottom pedal shifters here on the back we also have
Our controls here for like the volume voice command controls heat steering wheel button controls there for the center as well and then you got all of your stocks on the back quite a few at the Audi’s now Tak a look at the gauge clust you can see full digital gauge
Cluster here in the center it’s out’s virtual cockpit and the cool thing is you press the view button and it’ll change what it shows so definitely a nice bit of practicality now we do have a 360 camera system you can see trajectory lines turn with the steering
Wheel we got that bird eye view as well and we can see out of a bunch of different angles here with the Q5 so definitely a great system and then as for the rest of the info rainment system response time quick this is where we can also see our different Drive modes here
We’ve got lots of Drive modes with this funny it has an off-road mode too even again soft touch all across the dash you can see quattra there on the wood trim and nice fat lined glove box and then over here we’ve got our heated seats we’ve got dual zone climate and then you
Got like your drive mode select here notice the EV mode we can turn that on or off um and and by the way it’s not just EV mode so you can see we’ve got our hybrid Auto and then off and then we have our it takes a second fullon EV mode anywh
Who got more storage here with the volume control shifter there for that seven-speed and you can see with the parking brake more cup holders got nice storage there padding on the center console and then we do have a panoramic Center for up top so here’s a Wonder
Sticker for this Q5 you can see the standard equipment comes with this there’s your BAS B MSRP now this does have quite a few packages including the premium package and the black optic black optic is where everything is all blocked out anyways total MSRP 66,0 770 let’s see how it
Drives let’s talk about visibility before we set off here’s visibility of the hood both the mirrors through the rest of the rear and let us set off in the q5e really excited to finally review one of these because well I want to see if this is a
Good alternative to the SQ5 now the SQ5 right all out performance but with that turbo V6 it’s not going to be as economical as something like this when it comes to fuel economy so yeah I I just want to see how this actually uh performs and basically here’s the
Question we need to answer obviously it’s going to be more economical but is it it as fun to drive as the SQ5 and so if it is then like I think it’ be a no-brainer right to get the one that gets better fuel economy really smooth so far this EV mode Let’s
Actually I’m going to put it into the actually no we’ll keep it in the EV mode for now pop into the hybrid mode a little bit later it’ll probably do that automatically with Dynamic this is like the steepest driveway that is crazy okay so turns on the engine pretty quick
If you get deep enough into the throttle smooth though really smooth got to remember latent people are crazy drivers I like how this drives though it’s a nice drive really comfortable so the big benefit I see of with this over the SQ5 so far is the kind of luxury part of it it
Seems to just feel a little bit more on the luxury side compared to the SQ5 not only from a right clity standpoint but just again the just listen how quiet it is right you don’t get the same amount of road noise and everything that you get in the
SQ5 also trying to figure out a driving route here so okay so I’ve got it in the dynamic mode here and going to punch it wo it’s quick that is quick it’s got some power that has got some power so I think the acceleration there pop it back into
Auto I think the acceleration there with the SQ5 does not have the sound though of the V6 so summing things up here with the Audi q5e um I I think you know plug-in hybrid practicality is it’s a really cool thing right having the ability to drive you
Full electric and then also you know having something it’s going to just get because it’s a hybrid right it’s going to get better fuel economy I just think that’s a benefit all around now with that being said you know I think if you’re like getting one of
These for the performance aspect the SQ5 still does that better than this just because of the sound it’s not necessarily the acceleration it’s just the sound the theater that the car provides um I think that’s a I think that’s a good way to put it and also with these plugin Hybrid Power Trains
Right they’re just not quite again right off the line with the electric think very responsive once you’re up and moving it doesn’t have the same responsive feel as what you have with turbo V6 like in the SQ5 anyways let me know you guys think about the q5e and
