All-wheel drive and I live in New Hampshire so I wanted it for the winter and we had it in the winter I’m going to flash back to that very shortly and show you what it’s like driving in the snow because it’s an absolute blast now it’s

Day so this video is going to upset my wife and here is why when we left our house this morning at 7:00 a.m. I had 150 Mi of range on my car we had to go 30 minutes away which was 26 Mi on the

Highway 26 Mi back and I have to pick up my daughter as well so under 60 M total I at 150 Mi of range we’re now at 46 M of range left so we haven’t even driven the 60 Mi yet and we’ve used over 100 m

Of range which means by the time I get home I’m going to be done like this car is not going to be able to be used for the rest of the day unless I charge it at a charging station which means we need to stop at a charging

Station see told you we need to stop at a charging station before we go pick up our daughter which isn’t like hey let’s go fill up the car we need to get some gas we need to wait for 30 minutes and go get some lunch no they have to get so

What do we do to get fix up here we go so problem here we go what’s the solution there is one we run out of charge by the time we get home and then I have to use my regular gas engine for the rest of the day and you’ll see right

There 45 Mi this said 68 Mi 10 minutes ago so we haven’t driven 23 mi in 10 minutes and I’m driving regular speeds we’re not going super fast and we’re on flat surface Highway and I’m in efficiency mode as well are we really going to the mall yeah I have to charge

The car she needs to be picked up I know and we’re not going to make it we’re not going to make it to the house and back and Park Boulevard and tell her about the car problems of having an electric vehicle why don’t you just charge it

Over night I had it at 150 miles last night because I had it at 150 mil I didn’t need to charge it we aren’t driving 150 Mi we aren’t even driving 100 miles I should be completely fine so I didn’t have so like I have to plan

Ahead for a trip now you have to have a full charge every time you want to use your car doesn’t even make sense we should have been able to have plenty of electricity or whatever to make our trip and get back home and then charge it tonight a few moments later I’m texting

What are you texting we’re going to be a little more little later than expected my husband had to charge his car cuz he didn’t plan accordingly now just then Dad did it plan accordingly and now we have to stopic all right right and just to put in perspective we’ve only driven 3 mil

Since I started this clip and we’ve used 7 m of range in 3 miles so this is completely useless you cannot go by what you have for range this was well over half of a tank half of a charge half of a battery way over that and I’ve driven

40 Mi maybe 50 Mi maybe and I’m near zero so extremely frustrating not just for me and here we are at an Electrify America which is about 30 minutes my house but it happened to be on the way like right off the highway so it’s not terribly inconvenient it is 11:17 right

Now we are plugged in and we are paying 37 cents a minute to charge when I have it at a significantly reduced rate at my house I could have charged it at my house last night but I shouldn’t have needed two all right we’re at 19% at

1117 let’s see what it is in like 15 minutes meanwhile you’ll see you either go into the mall or you wait in your car like this guy while your car charges up to 80% he’s been there for 29 minutes so the guy next to us has been in his car

For 29 minutes sitting 20 minutes later it’s been exactly 20 minutes let’s go see where we’re at love New England love New England standing out in the cold while our car charges let’s see where we’re at after lunch $953 it’s been 27 minutes we got 50% charge let’s see where we’re at for

Mileage like range all right so it took just about 30 minutes our car is on we were at 41 M of range $10 put us at 120 M range 50 50% charge now this drops significantly as soon as we get moving so 120 M of range remember this

4540 cuz we’re going to pick up my daughter who doesn’t live who isn’t far from here 4540 and 120 Mi electric cars are meant for people that have just a lot of free time sit around in your car like that BMW person and take some time yeah and

So we’re still at the pump we’ve gone down 2 miles we’re at 118 mil already 118 Mi just now leaving the charger we’ve gone down 2 Mes in range just to give it benefit of the doubt I’m going to put it in efficiency mode all right so we’ll just be as efficient as

Possible and it’s all highway driving from here until we grab our daughter we just left the mall parking lot and we’ve used 5 miles of range from the charger to the exit of the mall so that’s how like skewed yeah how skewed the range system is it doesn’t even make sense now

On the road something else that is slightly annoying like one would think that this glass roof is kind of cool but there’s no shade to cover it so it’s tinted glass you see the sun it’s behind a cloud right now the sun is just beaming on my face which I don’t like

Sunroofs so nice though it yeah it’s a cool feature it’s awesome but I would like a shade so I have the option of using it and not just have the sun in my face all right we have stopped at our destination we’ve gone 13 mil but used

17 what 19 mil of range in 13 miles so it’s slightly skewed from like in just 13 miles we use an extra what eight miles seven miles 7 milish so you can’t use this let’s see what we’re at by the time we get home think about this too so

We were only highway driving like Prime conditions I was I wasn’t speeding I wasn’t on the gas onto the brake so like Peak conditions of driving we still use 7 extra miles 6 extra miles which is like 30% extra so it’s skewed by a 30% Factor all right we’re parked home so

You can see we’ve driven 23 Mi and we’ve used 32 Mi worth of range in 20 3 miles so there’s about a 30% margin of error on your like length distance whatever which isn’t acceptable like we use 30% more juice charge electricity today than I anticipated which made us stop for an

Emergency stop when we were on a time schedule versus had I Ed my A8 or my S6 we could go 400 plus miles on a tank of gas and not have to worry about stopping for a charge or having to stop for 30- minute lunch while the car charges I

Really haven’t added much about 12% battery life and it is 655 so almost 3 hours we’ve added 12% battery life that’s not good which means we’re going to have to stop at a charging station to make it up North so here we are at the Electrify America 11 minutes so far 73%

It has been charging we’re only charging at 26 kW which is really really slow it’s 8:02 p.m. all right let’s see where we’re at we’re pretty much out of stalemate now 9 Kow at 98% total cost me five bucks 72 minutes we’ve been here so actually it wasn’t $5 it was

Hate Audi love hate Audi there are some Oddities about Audi like they’ve never mastered the center console like in the history of Audi there has never been a good place to put a cup it’s just really weird like my cup is here I can’t touch any buttons and then if there’s two cups

Forget about it this is all useless but if the cups were here like in my rron they’re also in the way cuz they can’t touch the radio buttons so like here are the radio buttons and the cup holders are in my rron are right here so it’s

Just like the center consoles are so silly like my Audi outroad or the a4s the old ones when You’ pull the emergency brake up it would lift the center console it just nothing makes sense about the center console of an Audi I think that’s my rant about this

On a longer distance I take an internal combustion engine so it’s a fun backup car kind of like a Jeep Wrangler you don’t want to be your primary vehicle so we’re at the dealer let’s go inside see what it’s going to cost us hopefully nothing it should be under warranty what

They actually did and what it would have cost had it not been under warranty pretty cool that I got a laner for free for a week though got to experience a brand new Audi sine for free sine I don’t know what I got maybe just the wheels cuz it wasn’t really that much

Performance or anything I think it’s just a 20 and while we’re in here check out this 2024 ODI rsq8 this is one level below the Lamborghini irus 23in Wheels look at the size of those calipers and rotors what a car wow carbon fiber lower lips what a beautiful ride this is such

A cool family car and then apparently the rron GTS are still selling cuz here’s another one sold with a window sticker sold for it MSRP of $111,000 some more than mine all right here she is what a goodlooking car you know I think I’ve said more bad about this car

Than good but it is a beautiful beautiful ride and I always say like oh I wish I could have this car I wish I could have that car I how fortunate is it am I that I I’m driving an $103,000 car probably now more like a $60,000 car

One year later but like this is really cool looking all right so I was talking about the cup holder earlier here’s the cup holder it gets not terribly in the way but I can’t really put my arm down and if it’s here like if I have two cups
