Years so it had been a long time um it was a job that uh I enjoyed um I felt like I was really good at and um it was kind of a good balance for me it kind of met a lot of my needs and um great
People that I worked with and for me it kind of came out of the blue building cars it was always kind of a side Hustle something I did for fun I shared it on YouTube and kind of again really liked the whole process I enjoyed interacting with the community I loved
The following I loved getting to know a lot of the viewers I really never thought it could be kind of a full-time thing when I lost my job I actually thought quite a bit like hey could I somehow make YouTube full-time the answer is just flat out no
Not even close on my channel I like to be pretty transparent and so I’ll just tell you right now the money I made all last last year let’s look it up here $2,110 61 the $20,000 that is not money for me either that basically just goes
Right back to the build and usually I end up losing money not making money so this would put me way below poverty level and would not be able to do what I what I do and would not be able to provide for my family so YouTube fulltime was just not a realistic option
What is an option is converting cars for other people so a few months back I suggested this could be an option to sustain me to actually just keep doing what I’m doing I kind of put it out there to the viewers the only way I thought this could be possible is if I
Were to work on someone else’s car therefore they could pay me for my service I could still post and upload to Youtube you guys would still enjoy content that way I get to keep some of the YouTube money I also get to keep the money for my services and and that might
Actually be enough to sustain me so it has been now 7 months um since I was let go and that is a long time to go without a paycheck and it’s just time to start something so I think lots of times on YouTube you guys just get to see the end
Product or get to see the process um not a lot of times you get to see kind of behind the screen this is me letting you guys in to be honest this is somewhat scary for me financially I’m pretty conservative I’ve always been kind of in
The corporate area and uh I don’t know for me personally I just kind of had a sense of stability that came with that so going out on my own I’ll say being more of an entrepreneur starting a business that’s a little bit scary for me so let’s hope things go
Well so you might be wondering what does this mean for YouTube what does this mean for the projects that I’m working on well let me tell you my plan for YouTube is still to upload videos I will still have content that is mostly around car cars and making cars go fast
Electrifying them having all sorts of fun in that way some differences though as we’ve discussed I need to be working on someone else’s car so we’ll still pick some cool cars but it just won’t be my car it’ll be somebody else’s cool car I think it’ll be interesting to see what
Projects people want to do it’ll be challenging for me to kind of get to do all the different things so I’m really looking forward to this next part of the journey so let’s talk a little bit about the Porsche you might be wondering what does this mean for the Porsche to answer
That question I’m actually going to take you to my previous build the blue car Watson I did this car all on evenings and weekends in very much the same way my plan is to still work on the Porsche on evenings and weekends the daytime
Though I do need to earn money so I will be working on other people’s cars so the fun part is you’ll get to see Porsche content but you’ll also get to see some other content as well hopefully that that means more videos more content for you
