That’s what we’ve come down for really um hour was 3 he’s been on the Honda Fireblade and CBR 600 launch and he’s off on a Triumph launch tomorrow so we just had a little window to grab a hold of him bring him down show him
Round uh have a look at the like the mic hookup and where we’re going to put cameras and stuff like that uh get his input cuz obviously they did the cinema tour and then he ra some good points didn’t he really about technology side of it the money himself is just appeared

Good Checker VF supercharger it’s a GT to start with full active Arrow Wing tillet seats half cage manually converted so we manually converted this KW club sports height lift just yeah and it’s king fisher blue this this is the one this was the one that got us
Together yeah it you put this against the turbo yeah performance Audi yeah yeah just love this car just love this car I don’t think there’s anything I would change about it it’s just Mega um if it was mine I would probably do some work on making a charge cooler and a supercharge more
Efficient um but I just love this car I I love this car A new looks Mega as well looks like an old LMS car I think so and I remember at um fronting thought for the crap ofic the day taking people out in this and they all blown away yeah one of

Car and stuff like that and then we built obviously his twin turbo as well so yeah I I’ve the GT is my favorite R8 but I think this is probably my favorite R8 like that’s a question we have been asked before yeah yeah that is this is
Probably I don’t think he’d ever let it go but I’d have serious serious issue letting him sell this and it not be to me it must be cracking now it’s manual yeah I always liked it as atronic yeah yeah cuz it used to burble and pop
And bang when you shifted an atronic but um what was the trick to that you just lift as well yeah you lift and obviously the tune we put on it as well for supercharger you you can play with the torque reduction in the calibration to
To help not smooth it out but to just make it more the shift more aggressive so it doesn’t pull the torque out as much um but yeah we converted it to manual was this did we do it last year year before about a year ago um so yeah full manual
Conversion um yeah John wants to do a couple of Tours in it so it’s just back for a bit of a health check uh give it a service give it a check over stuff like that but yeah I I I really like this one
I do like this one uh there’s an st in for judan so Dy daycare today and um this is his new racing bike uh so George uh racing Evo Series this year uh so it’s uh old classic um the bik not Jordan yeah yeah yeah Jordan’s a classic uh old

Year um like look how look like old solid discs that so uh my bike is back from Spain from the Spain there she is um so it’s all ready and then L motoc crossy bike is sat in the corner it and my phone is
Ringing so yeah we just had a bit of a sort out for the open day on Saturday so just kind of chucked everything down here and then Mitch is going to uh run the Old Morgan on the dino I think that it’s got to be about
It in here a’t it me is it me had a few more dods and bits turned up so we’ve got second gear full template clutch uh the output shaft drop gears or drop shafts uh I’ve got two V10 kits set there I’ve got McLaren engine kit out there CP
Stuff um got Italian RP stuff and valve trains for some v10s full gear set so lots of goodies yeah yeah we got some goodies I’m just finishing off putting together this um V8 McLaren engine uh heads are back for oh yeah we can show you we can show you that can’t
We they were over here here um so we’ve had pair of heads these are the 650s heads back so they had new guides cut seats or new guides Reed guides to size cut the seats and just give them a little skim on the top um so what we’ll
Do to make sure because they’re a ball Lake to vacuum test the exhausts because of course you’ve got the eight Valves and then you’ve got the secondary ports all together so you can’t vacuum test the ports properly um Kev makes them blanket off but we just give them a
Quick lap in just to make sure they’re definitely sealing perfectly whereas normally on a simple Port you’d literally just put a vacuum tester on you sit two valves in put a vacuum tester on it and it pulled down but on the exhaust cuz each Port has got two
Secondary air ports and then you’ve got the you’ve got it in the end one end this end here the secondary air goes in the side you just get a bloody great a you can’t you can’t pull a vacuum down properly so we’ll get them built up new seals get
Them built up get them fitted and put on and that’s it that’s good uh this is the S4 V8 we’re doing for Nathan so blocks all done now just got new Liners in that’s back everything’s home to size it’s got to go through the wash tank um everything’s decked and skimmed we’
Pinned the liners um and then blocked off steam vents and then literally just measure everything up it can go back together uh and then Adams we’re just waiting on on rods and bearings and then carum put that back together we had quite a lot of comments uh from people
Who were saying about what the um what the damage was to the bearings um we’ve had the oil tested because a lot of people said oh it looks like corrosion off water um the oil test come back and it it had slightly higher fuel than normal but it didn’t have
Moisture in the fuel uh someone mentioned about a poor Earth maybe arcin bearing um but it’s not that kind of wear it does actually look like cavitation um because the crank is immaculate uh so I’ve sent it off to a couple of friends who work at Marley
That are Baron producer and given them some images we’ll see what they come back with I’ve got I’ve got some idea uh it’s just not not something I’ve seen exactly like that before because there’s no there’s no pickup it just looks like the face of the bearing’s
Degraded rather than pickup or like the face is worn off cuz it feels smooth to the touch it’s it’s really weird it’s almost like what it looks like it’s almost like um uh corrosion under lacquer makes sense like the lacer is perfect but underneath the paint is all
Gone M that’s what it looks like cuz they feel they feel mint and that is about it another little mystery for you to get to the bottom of yep so found a fix regardless everything will be stripped and cleaned we’ll put a new oil pump in out of course new rods
Cuz because once you’ve spun a bearon on a rod you just throw the rods away and you can only get them a set of eight you put new set of rods in new set of rings cranks being polished at the minute and Carl can have a joyous occasion of rebuilding
It that’s all you get out Carl these days is yeah and that’s all right so we’re all caught up then and I am I think that is about all caught up um Super Mario song we found our rant didn’t we Well you certainly did yeah so everyone knows
I’m not a fan of electric cars get away no I know um and we were chat about it because you saw Harry’s video didn’t you Harry’s Garage video um and what first sort of sprung up was we were like oh how much not picking on Porsche because they’re all
Rubbish um but how much is takan so on auto trader right now uh the cheapest Tian which is a 4S uh 2020 car 48,000 mies in white one owner baller spec was it is what it was full lever for it everything it’s £ 44,990 right going off their PCP
Numbers um it’s £820 a month on PCP so I think that was uh 10% down 4500 quid and then a balloon of like 13 Grand all right nice car right problem arises if cuz everyone goes oh battery should last 8 to 10 years regardless of that engines
Last years and years are way longer right but a battery this is off Parts link so I’ve got a parts link system which links into manufacturers right so you might be able to ring up Porsche and get it cheaper or get discount or whatever you might get Goodwill you
Might have extended warranty but if you needed just a battery for a tyan it’s £ 26,43 and 8 p plus the vat plus the vat plus the vat you have to pay the queen or the king now yes right so it’s obviously 2,000 on every 10 so straight
Away it’s over 30 grand for a battery plus then fitting and coding and all the other nonsense that goes with it right which is bad enough right a front motor a front Drive Unit or front engine as they call it is 16,224 9p plus the that that’s the front
Drive Unit again doesn’t include labor coding software any of that and a rear motor is 9,149 and 70p plus that that’s a rear drive now there’s different versions because obviously after this then you get the GT and you get GTS and you get the turbo and you get all this right so
That’s not the dearest and that’s not the cheapest motor or battery combo but straight straight away DAV that is 40 60 Grands worth of Parts wow to change an two Motors and a battery right I’d be interested to know what that um what that 4S sold for new because it weren’t
45 bags because we were talking about this weren’t we where um uh well there’s someone um Porsche approved for $150,000 for sale on Porsche proof website use 2023 car 140 odd Grand right so you go and get it on lease because all businesses now were incentivized to put everyone on lease
It’s massive tax right off for benefiting kind so you pay like no tax for have an electric vehicle you obviously then get grants and help to put charges in at home then when it comes off lease it’s worthless do you know what I mean like
You go and look at say stay with Porsche right you go and look at uh well go and look at 4S or I’ve been looking at Cayman gt4s and the balloons at the end a mass the residual values are so high on the car that they’re cheaper like
Cheaper so we put a Cayman GT4 all right it’s a 981 Club sport is 20 grand dearer than that and on PCP it’s 200 quid a month cheaper that’s the same yeah it’s a better car way better car right but that is not the point of the rant
Right like they are fast so I’ve always had a problem with this where everyone harps on about the green thing right so essentially we drill dead dinosaurs out of the ground we refine it we put it on our petrol tanks we burn it and we do everything from what everything everything on the
Planet at some point has touched a fossil fuel to make it go forwards backwards up down left right buzz buzz yeah I’m surprised vibrators don’t come with engines on them to be fair right but do you see do you see my point there’s no kid in it there’s no
Dressing it up we just dig o in the ground and we pump oil out of it and we turn that into gas which Heats your home kerosene which sets fire to ropes to keep Harry and M from chasing you down the wall hom aland to right petrol to go
In your cars petrol to go in race bikes which is the most important thing of course AV gas keeps play in the air whatever boats use I don’t know much about boats they scare me right we don’t gloss it up we don’t kid it we pay tax on your emissions everything right so
Everyone goes oh yeah electric mate electric electric electric and you go all right so let’s say the car is charged by a whirly bird in a field that is it it is just charged by that’s not even solar is it that’s wind so it’s charged by wind let’s so let’s take the
Nuclear Power Station out of it right which you know could turn the world into chobble overnight let’s take out the fossil fuels or the coal that’s burning to you know to generate the power let’s just say the power generated to charge the bloody thing is wind and
Sun right nobody thinks about the poor bastard digging the oil to mine all the raw materials out of right and this is this like is the I can’t think of another scenario where it’s there’s like a dirty truth behind it that’s the one do you know do
You know what I mean it’s like oh yeah look how shiny and clean and everything this is and there’s a disgusting dirty truth behind it it’s like going to a Mitchell Star Restaurant and finding out that the guy serving is and a coven [ __ ] yeah right I got a lot of notes these
Are all 20203 2022 and 2023 numbers and it’s off uh Forbes and an American something website we were looking at right so this might I should have written it because I’ve written it backwards right so at the minute there’s the total Fleet basically every car in the world
1% of all cars in the world are electric right and that is 7.2 million vehicles on the road so that’s 1% of the total world’s Vehicles Global Fleet right for in the okay we have 32 million cars on the road give or take and worldwide they sell 66 million cars per year worldwide
Worldwide so this is just for every car in the UK to be EV right to what is now at the moment currently produced which in Cobalt terms is 19 90,000 tons of cobalt we would need twice the amount of cobalt so this is just to make 32 million cars EV two
Times the global amount of cobalt three quarters of the world’s production of lithium right 95% of the global production of neodynium or whatever that is never even heard that mate right and 50% of the global production of copper so plumbers are [ __ ] right that is just to make every
Car in the UK electric 32 million cars but we sell 66 million cars per year so all this crap about we’re going fully electric by 2030 is regardless of the fact that the the network can’t take it there’s not enough superchargers there’s not enough cost of coffees to put a supercharger regardless
Of the fact that you can’t charge these cars you can’t make them right you can’t make them the numbers so the biggest producer of cobalt is a mining Congo and 30% the worst production of cobalt comes from mining in Congo did I say that right that Mak sense right and you go into
That and we just looked at it didn’t we and it’s terrifying it’s not like it’s not even like a Welsh colon mine where you just see it and it’s an open pit with a nice fancy iron crane that lowers you your sandwich box and Canary down
The hole to go and dig them it’s kids climbing down holes 30 40 m deep right and chiseling out handfuls of cobalt out of the ground which is toxic and then bringing it up to the surface but we’re all right with that cuz we want to sell our electric cars
Right so is mate what they want so at the minute now out of all that out of all that Cobalt that’s produced EVS take 30 to 40% of Global Production of cobalt for 1% market share it’s not happening it’s not happening in the same way
That um what was it bio bloody a what they make uh like ethanol based fuel stuff like that there’s not enough fields to grow crops to make fuel do you know what I mean that’s the point yeah there’s no sustainability in this so there was a big court case in America
That got thrown out because Apple Google Tesla got taken to court for their responsibility in basically people dying in Minds cut um uh like kids dying in mines what do we what did they they reckon there’s 130,000 people employed in mines in Congo in cobal mines in Congo and they
Reckon 40% of those are under 16 that shocking like like why is this not on the news do you know what I mean why is this like when they’re spouting off that 0% tax 0% benefit in kind you’re it’s good for the environment it’s good for this
It’s good for that how is this not a bigger deal than it is actually I started this off as a rant CU I don’t like electric cars and like the more we read that in there just then didn’t we it’s [ __ ] horrifying it really is and
It’s not spoken about like we’re in the tra and we didn’t know this sure it’s like it’s mate it’s terrifying it’s terrifying honestly the guys who come up with this crap and you can see why so many manufacturers have now back their way back their way out of it haven’t they
Like did you say is it Mercedes or BMW have sort of softened their position on being full EV by 2030 Mercedes have definitely done it Ford have already done it um falw group done it I don’t see if there like everything we use it it well it’s even when they say
It’s synthetic it still has a basis that has come out of the ground either out of the ground or off the ground everything we use in human existence relies on the earth to provide it in some way or another all right wind and solar don’t but they
Need parts or Machinery or things to capture the energy they give which guess what we need to mine or chemically introduce there’s always going to be that Reliance compromise Reliance on yeah so when we’re sitting here now and like like I said 66 million year 66 million cars are sold a
Year right 32 million cars in the on the road in the UK in total I think it’s 7.2 7.2 or eight 7.28 million vehicles are sold in the UK I thought I wrote that down to be fair but I didn’t my notes are my notes made
Sense when I wrote them all right don’t make sense and at 1% market share we can’t support what we to to turn every car in the UK to Electric that’s globally the Global Production cannot support the UK and they want to do twice the UK plus growth that’s not sustainable no so what
Do we do nobody thinks of the kids mate and and they don’t make any noise so old Freddy’s coming out of school all excited to get home and play on fortnite and getting moaned down by cars making no noise so pops and bangs save lives there’s there’s new there’s a yeah yeah
Yeah pops and bags saves lives actually loud exhaust save lives and that is a wonky angle to look at it at but we we’re in here all the time and next door a Tesla approved body shop and you turn around there’s a car behind you that’s
True and you’ve seen it haven’t you like they they Creak in they don’t make any noise um running an electric car out of warranty I think is a big risk I think electric cars work for like Little Town Cars running around stuff like that the
Leaf did well was it the leaf the leaf did well little Priuses all right hybrid admittedly it it has a place I don’t think fully V is supportable when you’re talking about 150 160,000 GT cars fully electric well I like I said I would love to know
What that take was four four years ago when it was new cuz it weren’t 45 Grand it wasn’t you’re talking double right at least that at least so not only is it worthless after a period of time do you know what I mean it’s also the most expensive car to repair
This is why our insurance is going through the roof it ain’t the hoodlums on scooters stealing cars it’s this because repair costs are so high this is why insurance is expensive on supercars look at that Gen 2 at the back there tiny little pray 25 Grand worth of
Damage that hasn’t even done any structural damage so you see then why Copart is full of a lot of these cars Cat s or cat and Cat s they get written off because they’re not worth repairing the insurance company buy them out get get a shot because the liability of
Fixing them but could you imagine owning your 2020 car be kind 2018 2017 you spent 40 Grand on it and you need a 26 G battery and people would sit there and go ah yeah but you’ve got an engine over there that’s worth 30 OD Grand that needs rebuilding yeah we can rebuild
It I can take it apart and I can fix it there’s not many IC engines that you cannot fix or cannot spend the money to fix all right yes everything has a cost but you can’t fix a you can’t fix a battery like do you know what I mean
What was what was that laugh battery we were chatting about the other day it’s like 125,000 for a laugh battery crazy it’s ridiculous and then then when we me and you went down this hole the numbers they’re talking about and the raw materials you need to make a
Battery and then how those raw materials are dug out of the ground and the responsibility of who that falls into there’s no legislation in these mines there’s no health and safety it’s like do you remember you were seeing those boats get you always used to see the
Scrap boats get taken to like the Asia to get cut up yeah India a lot of those yeah and there’d be a guy on a blue n on rope hanging off a railing and his mats up tip gas axing a railing off and it’s that it’s that kind of
Thing you’re given a bucket a shovel told to go down a 20 M hole that you can’t breathe in and bring out a toxic material yeah I mean I’m I’m pretty Hardy but I think that is brutal so electric cars suck honestly and there we have it yeah I
Can’t see any positive what is the positive The only positive is it say you money to a point saves you but if you have a company car it’s just it saves you money but I I don’t I don’t see the benefit in at all me and you we should
Do that is it we should do a race right let’s pick a super car and we’ll get an electric car we will start at L’s end and we will do the speed limit 70 mph L’s end to JN a Gro who gets it quicker and who spends more money doing
It oh that’s an interesting one cuz an R8 will do 35 to the G gallon cuz my Gen 2 did when I drove to Glasgow and it sit there Cruis in 70 mph Bosch just literally no because you’re going to have to stop every hour for a day charge your battery
Wait for your supercharger you you like am I you the only one that gets this it may missing something I don’t know I think you going to open a kind of worms in the I am because there’s going to be people there’s going to be people out there who own an electric car
Well there you go then hands up hands up the those of you out there that love your electric car in the same way that you would love a 250 GTO or a DeLorean or a A panta or 69 Charger you know what I mean like I can I do not
Get even crap cars you can love you can but I I can’t imagine anyone walked into a Tesla showroom in cribs Causeway that looks like an apple showroom and went oh my God that is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my life I need to have
It I cannot imagine that so if there is let me know cuz I would love to talk to you about it cuz I don’t get it I don’t get it they’re soulless they’re boring there’s no noise they don’t handle they weigh a ton they kill kids and you have
To sit in services for 90% of your life waiting for a battery to charge cuz some tit in his electric cars parked in a supercharger and gone shopping there you go that’s a rant mate that that is a rant and a half is
