AMG Uncovered | Shai Gilgeous-Alexander presents his G 63
Hi, I’m Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Today, I’m going to give you guys a tour of my AMG. We’re in Hamilton, Ontario, my hometown, where I grew up and was raised. I love the city, love the people. What would you love everyone to know about Ontario? People always think it’s cold all year round,
But obviously it’s not. But style over comfort always. I’m wearing a jacket, just to look good. Describe your G 63 in 3 words. Unique, swaggy and loud. My AMG is an extension of me, minus the loud. I’m not loud, I’m quiet. So in my car, in my glove I keep my sunglasses.
Make sure I can see the road, a little stylish as well. The trunk… So, my basketball shoes, four or five basketballs just in case, a tennis racket. Do you play anything else other than tennis? I play a little bit of soccer. Very good at both.
If I wanted to, I could have went pro at the other two but I chose basketball. Candy. Sour Keys are my go to. Cola, Jumbo Sour Keys, I need them. Favorite candy? Fuzzy Peach, Sour Patch Kids, any type of Skittles, Starburst, gummy worms, sour gummy worms, gummy bears, sour watermelon.
It doesn’t matter. As you can tell I like all candy. Another pair of basketball shoes, just in case I lose the first ones. Stuffed animals. My dog is always in the backseat of the car. Can we meet your dog? Echo sit, sit. Sit, sit. Sit. There we go. Honestly, Echo loves driving,
But he just falls asleep, so it must be a smooth ride. Do you drive yourself to every game? I do drive myself to every game, every practice. I try to drive this car as much as possible. Who’s your biggest basketball inspiration?
I would probably say Kobe Bryant, just the way he approached the game, the dedication he had towards it, and his will to be great. What’s your favorite modification on your G 63? I saw these rims in Toronto, I thought they would look cool with my car.
And then once I got the image and put it all together, it was like a match made in heaven. Okay. What’s your favorite thing about your AMG? The V8 engine is the best part about the car. When you step on the pedal, the sound it makes, it really rips the road.
