Would You Buy This Cheap, Tiny EV? (Mitsubishi eK X 2024 Review)

Would You Buy This Cheap, Tiny EV? (Mitsubishi eK X 2024 Review)

Detailed review and test of the Mitsubishi EK X, a small and perhaps affordable electric city car with 180km / 110 miles of range.

Well, I was really surprised by the Mitsubishi EK X. I expected it to feel tiny, lacking in confidence on the road, and cheap. Turns out, it feels like none of those things. It is really small, and the safety rating is a potential hindrance, but it’s fun and nippy to drive – and it delivers the range that Mitsubishi claims.

Should we see more cheap, small, efficient EVs? I think so.

Rivals to the Mitsubishi EK X would include entry level versions of the BYD Dolphin, MG4, and forthcoming Chinese EVs like the Leapmotor.
