I’m really impressed by this, gotta say. Rivian got themselves into a mess financially, but the architecture looks incredible, which makes it a very good ‘get’ by Volkswagen, too. Rivian being first to ship dual NVIDIA Orins for ADAS in North America is crazy, too — casually outgunning Tesla on inference compute by something like 3x-4x while throwing in USS and Imaging Radar.
Yes, keep cutting costs.
Is all this going to help them not lose over $30k per car?…
