1973 Ford Granada Perana, A South African Ford powered with a 5 liter V8 engine from the Mustang, most examples made were avaible in automatic transmission only. Apperently at one point it was the personal use car of then Ford president Lee Lacocca.

Just a side note: technically the Granada is a European Ford (British and German) but all the Peranas were made in South Africa.
Iacocca. It’s an uppercase i.
When I see a Ford Granada I get Flashbacks of Gordon Jackson from the Professionals charging around. https://youtu.be/ZhzcTj8DZfY?si=459W0a0pCfI2jJPs
Looks good! Interesting to me that it had a V8, I think most South African market cars came with a straight-six?
We had the Granada Mk.1 coupe in the UK also but with the 3.0 litre V6.
Looks a lot like a Pinto from the rear
