EV /hybrids used as generators: “Just use your truck” – his comment about replacing $10k electric generators at the construction jobsite and replacing home emergency generators. Texas a big consumer of Ford’s hybrids because they can add to their emergency electric supply specifically.

Long video, but very clear about what is going on and what the future might/probably will look like from a guy with a tremendous amount of knowledge about what is going on. Basically for any decision maker thinking about EVs this should be mandatory viewing. And for the rest of us, you will be smarter and more informed for sitting down and watching this.
Great interview and love how Jim is just real and open about the industry and Ford. I’ve heard him in other interviews and he’s very real in those too. He is really behind EV but later in the video during qa I kind of got the impression he thinks the future is a hybrid type of vehicle where the petrol engine charges the battery.
