Took my car in yesterday for an oil change at 30k miles. As the mechanic was returning the vehicle he noted that my rear differential seems to be leaking and running low on fluids so he filled it back up. He mentioned that I should not drive it no matter what and call him back tomorrow and have it scheduled to replace the seal to prevent a large costly fix. Can you tell me from the pictures if you can see a leak? I am skeptical as the last three times i have brought my vehicle in for an oil change the mechanics each mentioned a new thing wrong with the car. Is there something I am missing?

They all leak at the pinion seal in the front of the axle where it connects to the driveshaft.
It runs to the back of the axle before it drips off.
Usually because the vent in the axle gets clogged up and pushes the pressure out through the seal. The seal itself is like $5-10 and you can get them from any parts store.
Labor is usually an entire day. Remove driveshaft. Remove pinion yoke that is torqued to like 450ft-lbs.
If you want a better fix, [there is a rear differential cover](https://www.americanmuscle.com/ford-88in-gt500-finned-diff-cover.html) that relocates the vent and keeps the trash from clogging it up.
