The Seagull hasn’t even arrived in Europe, yet. BYD delayed the release again and again probably because they don’t see much chance of it competing more with the way cheaper Dacia Spring than the better Citroën eC3 and Renault 5 especially if they wanted to sell it at those price points.
Now, the Inster is coming with a larger battery and much nicer interior than the Seagull. So, in my book they’re not really comparable. And that article doesn’t make much sense.
The Inster competes with the eC3, Renault 5 and ID.2 but certainly not with the Seagull or Spring, both cars, the Dacia and the BYD are a whole level below the others.
