Boss 302, though if the 69 charger was a 68 I’d take that lol.

Camaro! I had a 68 rs/ss with a 396 and a 4 speed. It was pretty rambunctious. I really miss that car.

The Trans Am, because it’s the coolest. Not the fastest, not the best built, not even the best handling vehicle. But sometimes it’s not about power or handling, it’s about how you feel inside when you look at it. When that Pontiac was built, I was 7 years old, and thought it was the most awesome vehicle I had ever seen. At the time, those old Mustangs and Chargers were rusted and beat up from trading paint and sliding into guardrails during salty Cleveland winters. They were driven by boring, grumpy, chain smoking, cranky dudes who complained about government regulations, bitched about Jimmy Carter, and hated disco music, and would gladly tell everyone around them how much they hated these things, ESPECIALLY disco (which I loved). The ‘77 Trans Am looked like the future to me with those new rectangular headlights that I thought were so cool, and the redesigned taillights that looked like nothing else. That decal on the hood was sheer beauty to my 7 year old eyes, and not like any other cars. They were driven by Burt Reynolds and James Garner, whose characters were confident in themselves, and wouldn’t ever stoop so low as to gripe about the government, the president, or music they didn’t like, because they had bigger and better things to worry about. They were who I wanted to be, and I’d often pretend I was them when flying around and spinning circles on my Bigwheel. So when I see that Pontiac today, those old memories come rushing back, and once again, I’m 7 years old and looking at the most awesome car that was ever built.
