Looks like the number is somewhere above 3000 Oceans, most of which were selling close to $70K back in March. The company buying them, which will be leased out, will have access to Fisker diagnostic tools needed to maintain the vehicles.

This suggest a 1000 or so still sitting on dealers lots in the USA & Europe. Even with the risks, very interesting deal if you could get it close to that price.

    >Following the judge’s nod, Fisker will be able to offload 3,321 electric vehicles to New York-based American Lease for $46.25 million, according to a court filing on Tuesday.

    >On May 30, two weeks before Fisker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, American Lease agreed to buy 2,100 Ocean EVs and a month later increased that offer to buy all 3,321 Oceans that were ready for sale.

    >American Lease serves ride share drivers in and around New York City, providing a fleet of cars on lease or rent. New York City last year mandated the transition of the city’s rideshare fleet to either zero-emission vehicles or wheelchair accessible vehicles by 2030.

It looks like they will all be used for ride-sharing

If they were publicly for sale at that price, I would do it. I think it would be worth the risk at that point.

  4. Hear me out. $14k – $7.5k tax credit is $6.5k. That’s in the ballpark of a run down beater Leaf that barely gets 50 mi. Consider it a throwaway car after depreciation and this sounds too good to be true

That $14k price is not available to consumers, but that’s a hell of a deal for a company to launch a fleet and they’d have the infrastructure in place to support the vehicles.

This doesn’t really help current owners, but it might help some employees get paid what they are owed

Was one of the suckers who bought at full price. Don’t get me wrong it was a huge mistake and I’m dealing with broken parts with no pipeline to replace them and shitty software but the car itself drives amazingly. Bummer Fisker was so poorly run

You could use it as back up power for your house at that price.

Rich Rebuilds got his wish and then some, he was hoping for $20k.
