Looks in great condition. Aftermarket wheels honestly do a lot to change the look of Multiplas lol

I hope I get to see one of these in person some day. I happen to think they’re so weird, they’re actually cool.

I had one in this shape (Ugly Bug) and one in the next shape, both 1.9 diesels). My Ugly Bug was a rat car so I made stickers to go on the wing like kids do either their cars, but mine were all for things like cable ties and WD40.
The next one I had (newer shape) was taken straight to the tuners. There’s a guy a couple of hours drive away who loved these and used to do the electronics for the Aston Martin LeMans team… so he wrote me a custom power map… all the power! Anyway, fried the clutch in 2 weeks so I had to out a race clutch in there. My wife lived that car, people would look over at a middle-aged lady in an MPV and then she’d smoke them off the line. Good times.

Even here in Italy you don’t see many of them anymore

There’s actually a funny story about the fiat multipla design:
The fiat design department was designing it starting from the inside out, thinking about living space, comfort and usability of the interiors, and they used two “shells” of existing cars to mock up the exterior volumes around the interiors they were designing (I’m not sure, but I think one was a Fiat Marea) a manager saw their work and loved the shapes and ordered it to get to production like it was, without properly designing the exterior. It was a total flop even if it was a great interior design. They tried to solve it with the second gen, but it never had real commercial success.

As a designer it’s a car I actually appreciate even if it’s ugly.
I’m happy to see the Multipla has fans all around the world!!
