Hi. How do i adjust the coilovers height, as the regulating “ring” is obstructed. Excuse my lack of knowledge i bought it like that and its my first car on coilovers.
That’s not a coilover. That’s a cool spring with a separate damper and spring setup. Coilover is a single strut/spring combo where the coil spring goes over the strut, hence coilover.

You’ll either have to remove or compress the spring to access the adjustment screw thingy on top of the spring

It’s called a divorced rear coil over (versus a “true” coil spring over the strut). You’ll change the spring mount collar height and the strut after to match, remember to set the preload appropriately.

It’s tough to see from just this picture, but it looks like the adjustment cup on the spring is at the top. You will most likely need to raise the car up, and find the correct wrench to twist the cup. I could be wrong but I have worked on GTIs with a similar setup for the rear.

The adjuster is at the top, when the coilover spanners don’t work put a jack under the hub, bottom bolt out, spring and adjuster out and do it that way,

These are rear coilivers with the divorced setup. If you can’t access the adjustment ring you have to remove the entire spring, adjust then put the spring back in.
