Ford Ranger 2025 PHEV: The Hybrid Plug-In Truck That’s Turning Heads!
Ford is gearing up to launch the 2025 Ranger PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), expected to arrive in Australia by late 2024 or early 2025. This new hybrid truck will be Ford’s second plug-in hybrid model after the BYD truck from China. It offers about 50 km of electric-only range before switching to a 2.3 L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. Despite the low current interest in plug-in hybrids in Australia, the Ranger PHEV will maintain a 3,500 kg towing capacity (when using the gasoline engine) and promises greater torque than other Ranger models. The truck also features improved suspension to support its hybrid tech.
