I like the 56 but the mandatory continental kit and the exhausts I don’t like

The white one with Suzanne Somers in it.

56. 55 was a tad rough and in 57, the overlong trunk spoiled the lines.
That said, my real favorite T-bird was/is the 61-62 convertible

The 57 for me

57 (love the wings) and then the 55. My apologies to 1966.

I’m not into first gen T-Birds. But I owned a 62 bullet bird for a while and it was sick!

I loved 1rst gen T Birds as a kid because of the hood scoop. Still today I think they’re one of the best cars from the 50s, they look good, simple and well put together.

The 55 is the purest version. I hate continental kits in the 56. And the fins don’t work for me on the 57’s

57. I love the little fins and the afterburner tail lights. Best style combo for me. Otherwise a 55. I don’t like the spare tire on the 56

That black version is pretty styling to me.

Like the shoebox 55. The Simplest before they muddled the clean lines.

57 in Fiesta Red with the continental kit. Just like my grandfather’s. I used to sit in it and pretend to drive in when I was young. He never drove it so I never got to ride in it. One day he had it out and running. I was older and was off at college. He asked if I wanted to drive it. Drove off with my older brother. It was loud from an exhaust leak and the steering had a bunch of play in it. It was glorious. What I didn’t know was that he was preparing for the guy buying it to come and get it. I never saw it again. 57 all the way.
