The Jack of All Trades Electric Vehicle // 2024 Nissan Ariya REVIEW
The 2024 Nissan Ariya sort of flies under the electric vehicle radar. The new Nissan Ariya is quite good in many ways, and considering the falling electric vehicle prices, you can pick up a new or used Nissan Ariya for thousands less than the original MSRP. When you remove the price barrier to entry for something like the Nissan Ariya, it suddenly goes from being a good electric vehicle to a pretty great one. The interior of the Nissan Ariya is spacious and pretty cool, with thoughtful attention to detail, and the Nissan Pro Pilot Assist hands free driving tools are some of the best in the industry. Nissan certainly has some issues and some lackluster products, but the Nissan Ariya is a pretty great one. For the right price, the Nissan Ariya’s lack of one pedal driving and slower recharge speed can certainly be forgiven, and compared to more competitive electric vehicles, like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, the Nissan Ariya starts to look really good when you consider the faster depreciation leading to better deals. (To be fair, the prices on everything are rapidly falling, and this potential value play applies to all electric vehicles. Something like the unloved Toyota bZ4x is suddenly an amazing deal.
